I don't often disagree with Philip, but on this one I do. Even if you're selling or reading a spot for BMW, you're bringing a script to life. aka, acting. Not sounding like you're reading. Or a bad actor that sounds like a bad actor...
But a real delivery of the clients message. Filled with as much or as little emotion as the producer wants. Even if you're "acting" as an Announcer.
(I'm hopping into the booth right now, and--I promise--that I will be doing actual, genuine acting. My session later this afternoon, though? Not so much.)
