@TheIPGCorporations If its beta version is as bad as its full-fledged version it won't have to worry about any company, organisation or corrupt government trying to take it down. It will do the job perfectly itself. On the other hand I will stay on Youtube till it dies but want to look around on other sites too.

@TheIPGCorporations Once a big company has a monopoly their quality goes down. I think it is quite a few steps in he wrong direction. It seems to lack the social gears it has in the current version, but they maybe a big update on the full version so sit tight.

@thatsthewayitgoes09 There are several things that have been improved and the main one being able to sort of alter our username by having a new nick on the header-banners (whatever that grey crap is called) but most of i seems completely unnecessary. They shouldn't fix something that doesn't need fixing.

The navigation and layout is pretty much a mess and actually makes surfing YouTube a more time consuming task than previously. Though, that being said, they shouldn't be trying to bend design convention for the sake of spewing some 'revolutionary' shiny crap. A novice CSS designer would've had a better hack at it IIH.

@RaymondLikesMen Everyone is copying Apple in that respect, although I do believe that Sony was at it first??? I don't like what Youtube have done and it all seems kinda pointless. The old design that I'm using is fine and can be more personalised and so looks different to other users. The shitty new design for the sake of shinny looks, that isn't always to everyone's taste, overpowers backgrounds and banners and makes all channels look the same. Genius, I say.

Difference between Apple and Sony is that Sony have actually managed to be creative and still come out with something largely functional and practical, whereas Apple's products have edged more and more since the first Mac in 1984 to a 'lifestyle' over a device worth anything other than a paperweight.

Also unlike you I seem to lack enthusiasm as to the final result of this design revamp; honestly, if I know the nature of capitalism (sorry to be political but it has to be said), they are ending fun social time for the mere proles and are gearing this into a ponzi-structured profit generating scheme for them. This is what it always degenerates to. There's no escaping of any good idea to monopolized monotony.

Youtube is not very friendly when it comes to getting minor youtubers noticed/getting views. I have trouble just getting my videos viewed. When you search for videos the first things/only thing really that you see is all the big youtubers who get 100s of thousands of views.

@Igamer124 This is true. Also, the sooner you start making Youtube videos the more likely Youtube will notice you, but that time has now past and many youtubers just have to slug it out doing things they like doing. Perhaps that's the best way, but for views, probably not. It hurts me to say but the top most viewed of all time on my channel were shitty videos I did a few years back and they got like 70,000+ and I deleted them because they wee so boring, bu for views yeap.
