the title of the song is"The White Cockade",
was based on the song "My love was born in Aberdeen", which appeared Herd's Ancient and Modern Scottish Songs in 1776.

Wow these people great. This is the piece an 18 year old played in the Revolutionary War and the town he came from remembers him every year.
