out of the five sins, four are colored people. the suicide might be white, but certainly the black drapery that he/she wears uses black in a negative way. just because one of the sins was white doesn't mean the play is racist. why was the sex temptation a Latino, a group stereotyped for their good looking guys? why was the sin of love of money and drugs portrayed by a black man, enacting a stereotypical pimp role? and the anorexic woman in love with her looks... why was she black?

we did this skit at my church, and all black church. God was protrayed by a black woman. this skit is so powerful, it brought tears to my eyes and a resolution to read my Bible more and prayer more often. i don't like this version, however, because it has obvious racial undertones. why were all the minorities cast as the "sins." as a minority myself, that makes me angry and disappointed in the church. i wouldn't recommend this version. watch the other ones that aren't racist.

Yes these people probably volunteered, but somebody put them into the roles in which they acted. And that means that that person subconsciously casted the colored people as the sins. I'm not saying it was intentional. Merely racial prejudice is so deeply ingrained within the church that it influenced the casting of this skit. To this day churches are still the single most segregated area in our lives here in the U.S.
@GeorgeTinkTinker The people that did this skit are from the drama department of mission baltimore... if you haven't heard of it check it out. they do incredible things and are deff not racist. i know some people (close friends) who have participated in mission baltimore. God is using that organization and many others to spread his love and his forgiveness to those that most people can't reach.

I've seen some things that I could question about churches and their ideal of European Jesus who had a very mixed lineage of which very little was probably white. I do not understand why people choose to see this incredible performance as racist. There happen to be people of several different races involved, but they are all just His people trying to spread the message of His power. It's clear to me that no racism was intended, and I wish others would choose to view it the same way.

I saw this video in my FCA class on Friday morning at school and it brought me to tears because it shows the lord will always be there for you no matter what you go through and always there to help you when you need it. just like nickbuckintx also said,once you experience gods love, theres nothing else like this. this was portrayed so beautifully and was so uplifting that this just made me open to the lord more and spread his word to others in need. great job, thank you and god bless <3 <3

I saw this video about a year ago and it brought tears to my eyes but then after comming to God I saw this 2 days ago and burst into tears I couldn't hold it back I see what God did for me now and were he brought me from I went through every thing that girl in the video went through. and even more so her fight to get back to Jesus is all to real that is exactly how it is. out of the five sins, four are colored people. the suicide might be white, but certainly the black drapery that he/she wears uses black in a negative way. just because one of the sins was white doesn't mean the play is racist. why was the sex temptation a Latino, a group stereotyped for their good looking guys? why was the sin of love of money and drugs portrayed by a black man, enacting a stereotypical pimp role? and the anorexic woman in love with her looks... why was she black?

2 of them are white, alcoholic and suicide. 2 of them are black, and the other one is a latino. Why would this be racist? Its a fair share of sins I think. Besides, its really annoying how pessimist people always make the wrong interpretations of things by picking out only the negative details, which in reality, are just stupid details which I bet are just your imagination :)

we did this skit at my church, and all black church. God was protrayed by a black woman. this skit is so powerful, it brought tears to my eyes and a resolution to read my Bible more and prayer more often. i don't like this version, however, because it has obvious racial undertones. why were all the minorities cast as the "sins." as a minority myself, that makes me angry and disappointed in the church. i wouldn't recommend this version. watch the other ones that aren't racist.

Yes these people probably volunteered, but somebody put them into the roles in which they acted. And that means that that person subconsciously casted the colored people as the sins. I'm not saying it was intentional. Merely racial prejudice is so deeply ingrained within the church that it influenced the casting of this skit. To this day churches are still the single most segregated area in our lives here in the U.S.

@GeorgeTinkTinker The people that did this skit are from the drama department of mission baltimore... if you haven't heard of it check it out. they do incredible things and are deff not racist. i know some people (close friends) who have participated in mission baltimore. God is using that organization and many others to spread his love and his forgiveness to those that most people can't reach.

@GeorgeTinkTinker As christians we are called to love and to be the church... the Bride of Christ. pure and spotless, and it's only by his forgiveness that we can become pure. there is nothing we can do to earn salvation (God's grace), so there is nothing we can do so that it can be taken away. not only that but God is pulling and tugging at our hearts, so that when we hear his voice and come running, we become redeemed of all our sin. this is what the video is trying to portray.

I've seen some things that I could question about churches and their ideal of European Jesus who had a very mixed lineage of which very little was probably white. But I'm sure if we go to Africa Jesus is portrayed different there.

I truly feel sorry for people who have such blind faith in God and Jesus. Its history is filled with hatred, murder and ignorance. We are taught from birth that if we dont believe in God we will burn in eternal damnation for all eternity, wow talk about negative re-enforcment.

This video is a great example about someone who strays away, yet Jesus will still be there to catch and rescue that person. I dont see how that is negative re-enforcement. Yes, one day the glory of God will really be seen for what it is.

I suggest you review that data, the first recorded instance of Jesus was Pliny the Younger in 110 AD, Jospheius entries were forged by 3rd century christians and that has been accepted by scholars for over 50 years. And the Letters of Tacticus were published after the Synoptic Gospels were written by Luke. This suggest that both Pliny and Tacticus had read Luke before writing their own treatisies.

If Pliny the Elder wrote his data in BCE 55, he must have been BCE. I don't care how many historians fail to mention Jesus, if prominent historians of that time like Tacticus and Pliny did indeed write about Christ, with very close detail in Christ's attributes, that's proof enough for the existence of Christ.

It's totally fine with me that we have different beliefs, but if you dont know how it all began, try not to dismiss any belief in how it did begin.
How is it real? There is faith involved, but not the giant leap of faith that is assumed. I would say that belief in the big bang or in evolution actually requires more faith than believing in a Creator.

I don't know who, what or how it was all created, and evolution doesn't claim to have that answer either. I miss wrote earlier about, "the things we enjoy," I should of said, "the things we need for survival every day," because if man refuse to listen to his heart, and did not fight this overwhelming tide of ignorance called religion, then you and I would both be in a lot of trouble.

Every single human on this planet is different and fallible. If I believe in my heart that killing is alright, should I follow that out? Absolutely not! But there really are people who feel that way and "listen to their heart". This is just one of the examples of trusting in "human dignity".
I do read the Bible carefully and I also assume you are a caring individual that wants the best, so research evolution a bit more and you'll find that there are many problems with it.

Actually I think you should rephrase that.
There is evidence for a loving Father who is God that created all of us, but due to the free will he gave us, we screwed it all up. If you read the gospels in the Bible, you'll find that Jesus was killed and raised, because He loved us so much that he was willing to take responsibility for our sins.

First life didnt start 4.6 billion years ago it was closer to 3 billion. And second we didnt come from nothing we came from Higgs Bosen, which is a partical without mass that creates mass. #rd life didnt come from nothing life camer from the stars themselves, fusion of hydrogen, to helium, carbon,iron all come from stars as they nova.

I suggest you review some modern physics Higgs Bosen is exactly what the HLC is investigating and we are seeing life from stars its only a matter of time before its found. Life is the inevitable result of the formation of the universe.

I suggest that you stop trying to find ways around the completely refined and practical laws of conservation and laws of thermodynamics. HLC is doing some pretty crazy stuff but guess what? It still must follow these laws.

I don't need to believe in anything. The best thing I will ever do isn't believing in something that doesn't change anything. There are better things to do than worship a man in a sky, I mean seriously, why does "God" need all of this praise anyways, he seems pretty greedy to me. Dont ever pressure somebody to believe in something, because usually, like now, you fail, and push me farther away. Maybe when "God" comes down from heaven, shakes my hand I will believe.
