That's what Disney did, the WSJ article merely pointed it out. Disney screwed her and she should leave them to maintain her artistic reputation. She can always write more songs if she has to leave some on the table.

Too bad she's a phony! Instead of a grassroots phenom, this week a story in the Wall Street Journal revealed that Marie Digby was actually signed by a Disney-owned record label two years ago, then promoted here on YouTube as a fresh-faced amateur (ala LonelyGirl5). Digby's singing talent notwithstanding, it means little if she isn't honest about who she is and how she got there.

To paraphrase Neil Young - 'She shouldn't sing for Disney, she shouldn't sing for Coke, she shouldn't sing for anybody that makes her look like a joke!'.
That's what Disney did, the WSJ article merely pointed it out. Disney screwed her and she should leave them to maintain her artistic reputation. She can always write more songs if she has to leave some on the table.
There are avenues for true talent and I'm sure she will find them, but Disney isn't it.

A library of congress copyright check shows this song is exclusively credited to her. But bad and cynical management has put even her protests into question now. If she does have talent, she should lick her wounds and make a name for herself in the biz outside of the limelight, like penning a hit for somebody else and then try again with backed with real cred.

Too bad she's a phony! Instead of a grassroots phenom, this week a story in the Wall Street Journal revealed that Marie Digby was actually signed by a Disney-owned record label two years ago, then promoted here on YouTube as a fresh-faced amateur (ala LonelyGirl5). Digby's singing talent notwithstanding, it means little if she isn't honest about who she is and how she got there.

I'm convinced that her own music is the best of what she does. And this song is really beautiful. She reminds me a little of Michelle Branch....but the rest is all her own. Her music is so emotional. That's what I like about it. And the lyrics make sense...I can't stand it when artists..'cough' the Fray...'cough' don't take the time to make sure the lyrics actually make perfect sense and others can relate to them. but that's just me,
