Why is everyone going on about Metal construction ... Pioneer CDJ's don't have a metal construction and they are used anywhere and everywhere by everyone.
@FrazerMcLucas - It's because metal is a much more superior material than plastic and lots of other controllers are available as such... hence this will be a negative of the unit...
@FrazerMcLucas - For some it is... because it was an issue for me as well. It's the reason I didn't keep my S4 in the first place...I'd rather have metal gear if I could. Plus, the CDJ's still weigh a lot more than this unit and feel like they are better quality overall.
real good review of the ddj-t1.You gave good and accurate understanding for every control and button. you gave me a good tutorial of the fx's buttons at the top and the middle of the controller.
@bionicalbibingka - I have used both the NS6 and the MC6000 extensively and they both had the same great sound quality. Neither one sounded noticeably different than the other. Those are my two favorites for good reason.
@bionicalbibingka - For a club or gig setting, I think the Numark NS6 and Denon DN-MC6000 are the best because they have additional outputs and inputs along with a full-metal chassis construction. I would say go with the NS6 if you are using Serato and go with the MC6000 if you are using Traktor. Those were my two favorites. The S4 is also very close, but the lack of metal construction turned me off a bit.
Hi, nice review. I would like to ask you. Did you notice low sensitivity of the tempo controler when it's close to zero position? I have seen video at you tube where it does not react for small movement close to the zero position.
@tespis1984 - I didn't notice anything funny with the Tempo Slider when I used the DDJ-T1. Unfortunately, I gave the DDJ-T1 back to pioneer, so I won't be able to confirm the defect. It may just have been a defect on the single unit and affecting all of them.

@RealDJblaze I know that obviously. But it's not really a reason to not purchase a certain unit.
