The doctor's personality DOES change with his regenarations, in fact - He even says so himself when he goes from Eccleston to Tennant - And for a more a more recent reference, when David Tennant is switched with Matt Smith. Matt Smith says that he has CRAVINGS in the very first episode, and comments "Cravings.. Never had that before". Q E D - He changes personality. Not a complete change, but some traits are different. :)

@Generalkiro to be fair, both Tony and Thomas make fun of EVERY Doctor. I haven't seen their takes on the first two Doctors, but they along with Sebastian Bird tend to make fun of every other Doctor there. Third tends to be seen as a bit gay, fourth just rambles on and on, sixth WAY over the top in grumpiness, Seven tends to go "Ace" and roll his "r's" and be overly dark, ninth definitely more chav than he was in the show, 10 an idiot, and 11 stuffy (based on pic before start) to a bit rambling.
