  • Cool stuff!!!

  • no, i mean your siurce of those models

  • @TheGoodarzian visit this website= CreativeCrash

  • @TheGoodarzian Read my description or watch the "Basics for Maya" video.

  • SANDVICH!

  • What program?

  • Havey!?!?!?!

  • @Filip123705 Heavy

  • @Filip123705 wow this is heavy!

  • excellent tutorial! nice work bro!

  • This is perfect, I can't animate anything yet and this is so easy to understand.

  • can you upload the model or the mb file? i really want to follow this tutorial!

  • its maya or 3ds max?

  • @TheGoodarzian Maya 2011

  • aHHH my knee.. i laugh at that

  • is that heavy from tf2?

  • @PixelatedPro Yup! Team Fortess 2

  • I really want to use this but the software is $3,500!

  • @skeletalpigeon14 download it ffs lol

  • The description says you'd show us how to set it up, you showed us a pre-rigged character. :/

  • @Sephern No. It says how to set it up for ANIMATION, not for rigging. I also say it in the first 30 seconds of the video, "This is only for animation". I don't rig. sorry.

  • @AnimationMethods hey which software are u using plz share the download link

  • @gamers566 This is Autodesk Maya. Buy it.

  • @gamers566 or you can get it for free if you download the student edition from autodesk student.

  • Can these techniques work in Blender?

  • @philipnova798 I have never used Blender, but the Animation Methods I'm sure can be applied to any program. Its the principles behind animation that will allow you to animate good. If you don't have a method for animating your probably not going to animate well.

  • @AnimationMethods Yes, I will find this useful if that's the case. Thanks.

  • dear very good but do u have any training for 3ds max

  • nice tutorial but i have one question. at what point in the timeline do you have to stop repeating all these steps? isnt there a point where the animation loops and the walk looks natural?

  • @NiightmarezLive Yes. You could do an animation CYCLE. Usually the cycles are animated in place and loop in about 24 frames. I just wanted to show an actual walking character without having to loop anything or looping in the graph editor. Usually in a studio you will need to animate everything and you wont be looping anything, unless they want a walk cycle. This is real studio techniques.

  • thanks so much! best tutorial i've seen!

  • Man, im so lucky there're people willing to take the time to show others the ropes.

THANK YOU so much for all the great info

  • @Mantlion No problem. Glad you liked!

  • He looks like heavy from Team Fortress!

  • @sfrewerd *facepalm.

  • Wow, these are truly absolutely brilliant tutorials! Thank you so much!

  • dude every time i move the root control donw, the feet roll down with it. how can i fix that? i think is a problem with the rig!!! help please!!!

  • @tamaboy311 It shouldn't do that, sounds like the rig is broken. Try to download it again and open a new file and try it again. Or if you want to move the rig down just select both of his feet controls and his hip and move him down.

  • @AnimationMethods can you give me the download link of this program

  • Awesome!! Subscribed

  • you can use Shift+mouse1 to move keyframes too

  • Mine wont autokey?? i've already clicked the key 'auto keyframe' button, any ideas?? :L

  • @TheMotherDuckers Before the autokey sets keys for you, you first have to set a key manually. Select one of your controls and hit the "s" key on your keyboard. This should set a keyframe on your timeline, then you can move in your timeline and pose your character, this should auto key now. Hope it helps.

  • @AnimationMethods Thanks! :) i subbed

  • great video for starting animating!

  • is Animation Master a great Program to use for this like is it better then this one iam looking for a great program that I can learn how to do this 3d Animation stuff on.

  • @drakozero8 Its rare to find professional studios that use Animation Master. I would say, if you want to study animation and do it professionally one day, stick to Maya or 3D Max software. Maya and 3D Max is what studios use in nearly all studios. I'm sure Animation Master is a great program. If you want to do it for fun, I would say ANY 3D program is great.

  • thanks i needed this refresher....i come from Maya in my previous in cali but my school now in florida uses 3Ds max and i like maya better...i realized that animating is the same in all programs...just different interface

  • were can you download this program at?

  • @FatalWolf93 You can get the 30 day trial at autodesk.com and look for it under Maya.

  • Please help... I am a struggling beginner.

So, after I imported the rig, the move and scale tools won't work (and I can't unlock them). For example, when I click on Heavy's arm, the x, y, and z axes are greyed out and will not let me move them. Thanks.

  • @xinnalynn 'cause you can't do it at the arms, try the heap instead ;)

  • @AnimationMethods thank you ive been tryna figure it out for ever

  • @AnimationMethods how do i apply the textures?

  • @99Blowitup If you want to apply the texture to this character, I think its on the Part 3 of this video. If you want to learn to apply textures to any object or character, that will require unwrapping a model. I'm working on making a tutorial for uwrapping and texturing a small environment. Will post it soon.

  • can i animate a two models?

  • Incredible, I've been wanting to learn how to animate for a while now, but all the tutorials I watched seemed so complicated. And on your tutorial I actually got it right on my first try :D

  • el mejor video que he visto acerca de animacion de caricatura! Es absolutamente genial, amigo. Lastima que no entiendo ingles porque vivo en El Valle de Guadalupe ahorita. Suerte de todos modos!
