The reason why there are so many children dying and starving is not because God is unfair and unjust. It is because when God created man, He created man with a "choice" and its own "will".

Why does your god allow thousands of innocent toddlers to die every day, after languishing their entire lives in the misery and pain of starvation? How is that a "just" & "loving" father/god, who has the power to prevent such injustice? Those little ones could NOT deserve it. Only a sadist would allow such torment against his children.
I am being sincere here.
Why should anyone believe there is a benevolent & fair god, rather than just an indifferent, non-sentient nature?

@themsfightinwoids Sorry. I understand where you're coming from. I wasn't a Christian until recently and I've struggled with questions like that. But I've found my answer to that question and I hope it can answer yours too.
The reason why there are so many children dying and starving is not because God is unfair and unjust. It is because when God created man, He created man with a "choice" and its own "will".

@themsfightinwoids The reason behind poverty in the world is not because of God's injustice, but due to the choice of man. Tell me honestly, is the world's resources enough for every single person to have enough food and shelter? But yet those billionaires and millionaires, they live their lives in luxury while these children die. That, I say, would be the cause. It's not because God "let" the children die. God gave us all free will for a reason. And with mine, I choose to help these children.

My question was why a "just" God ALLOWS extreme injustice (to the point of thousands of innocent children dying daily, for millenia, after short tortuous lives).
How is that supremely moral conduct by an all-powerful Heavenly Father? If God needs to determine who will follow by allowing free will, he still does not have to allow evil-doers to annihilate innocent children.
Please explain that. Thanks.

@TheTorJohnson No, we do know there is a God which is why we teach our children using familiar examples such as superheroes and relate it to biblical knowledge. This is a popular method of teaching no matter what religion or philosophy is being taught. If this is brainwashing then so is everything else. The basic premise of christianity is immoral (putting one's sins on a scapegoat and killing him), and the concept of god sending large numbers of his creations (Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems, atheists) to swim in a lake of fire for billions of years is just terrible. Exposure your children to literature, science, history, art, and keep the mythologic superheros in the comic books.

@TheTorJohnson The basic premise of Christianity is immoral? You can't call anything immoral because you have 0 basis for it. What killing is immoral right now because it is defined by society? Who knows, in 100 years rape will be the common human response to getting something you want, and everyone will be okay with it. The problem is that with your worldview, lying, stealing, killing, etc, is really just relative to where you live. So for you, morality really doesn't exist.

The blood thirsty god of the bible has to be the most immoral character in all of literature and the concept of sending people to everlasting torment reflects plain cruelty among its believers. @gloinstrong There are many secular charities--they are preferable because they concentrate on taking care of people's immediate concerns instead of preaching about superstitions. Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, the ACLU, Unicef, the Rotary International, Oxfam, the Nature Conservatory, etc are such examples. And, of course, if there really was a kind and loving god, there would be no need for charities.

That's why He sent His only begotten to save us ALL. But of course, those who refuse to accept Him - once they are shown the evidence of His existence and being - cannot be saved. God certainly did not love the Egyptians at passover when he killed all those innocent children, or the Midianites when all the non-virgins were killed after battle; so unrelenting incineration of non-christians is definitely in his character. And why did god create Satan anyway -wouldn't the world have been better off without him?

Revelation you quoted says what you said i.e. - all those who disown God will be destroyed, after all - He is the creator and giver of life, so He has the right to take it if we don't follow His rules for life. BUT - that scripture does not say we will be tormented forever - that is for Satan and his followers who are immortals and therefore can be tormented forever. Throw me into a fire and i die. Yes, He created Satan, but that original angel was perfect [as were Adam & Eve]. But they all had free will and CHOSE to go against God, so became sinners. We all sin and fall short of God's standards, because of inherited imperfection, but God wants ALL to repent, attain to perfection & be saved, so He gives us many chances.

@TheTorJohnson We are ALL imperfect and ALL sin, so we should feel the need to repent - unless we have no conscience - Oooops! Adam is not mythological - even science agrees that we all have a common ancestor and the Bible is precise in its descriptions of all characters etc. God decided immediately, what to do about Adam's sin and set into motion the process leading to our potential salvation. Hell is simply the grave, not fire, so we go to hell, but may be resurrected to paradise on EARTH.

@DavidFP77 We have had many adams and many eves over the billions of years of earth's life. Genetics does not indicate there was one adam/eve who knew each other 6000 years ago in Mesopotamia. Also, the bible contradicts your version of hell: Rev. 21:8, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

@TheTorJohnson Well, i have to disagree with you on that. Genetics does indicate one common ancestor, although it cannot determine the exact timescale. The Bible does not contradict what i said about hell. Hell is an old English word meaning 'to bury' - in fact there was an expression 'telling potatoes' which simply meant to bury them so as to preserve and stop them turning green. The lake of fire and brimstone is not hell [hades in ancient Greek, sheol in Hebrew]. 2nd death is final, no resurtn

In Hebrew, the name given to what you call hell [hellfire etc] is Gehenna - so Sheol [hell - the grave] is not Gehenna [the lake of fire and brimstone]. Anyway, i guess neither of us will give way - both too set in our beliefs. The ancient church [European Catholic] was barbaric and burnt people at the stake just for reading the Bible - that is NOT God's way.
