I like the serpa, fobus and crossbreed holsters. Each has their purpose. Serpa's a pain to take on and off, fobus is I'm walking out to get the paper on a sunday morning, and of course crossbreed is I've got to wear a suit and tie. One thing that yall need to think about is the weight of the pistol. I've got several that I switch between, weight, comfort, bite, firepower all go into what firearm. Please drill. It is embarrassing watching someone who cannot draw on a range.
It's amazing how many goofballs there are on youtube. if they don't like guns then why were they looking at your video? Maybe they are closet gun fanatics
@norwayfinland actually i believe that 95% of firearm related crimes are people who illegally obtained a firearm and are not registered or fingerprinted! It would be foolish for someone who has registered and been fingerprinted to commit a crime and you have to do all of that here in america to own and carry a gun legally (*General statement for most states anyways)
It looks like the rough part in on the inside. Would that eventually wear the finish of the pistol? Is there another style with the smooth part inside?
I carry a gun because of the fact that you never know what might happen. Like the old saying, its better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have one.
You know... I am PRO guns... BUT, let me ask the Q as to WHEN will you REALLY ever need to use a gun? I am now 50 yrs of age and have been involved in various things in my life including security work and I have NEVER ever felt the need to carry a gun on me. I mean, if you live in the ghetto, maybe then you may need it... but I have lived in both nice and not so nice areas and have done just fine without a gun.
I have a G23 and go to the range for fun, but I don't carry at all.
Because if you see someones weapon, you will contact the police as if you have just solved the crime of the century. At that point a good citizen gets harassed by the police and you nod in approval. In the end; crime was not prevented, LEO's were taken from actual work, and you get to tell a story about how you helped the community. These are but some of the great reasons to conceal weapons on the street.
See my comment to TheIntelligentView. I'm 43 yo and have had health insurance all my life I haven't seen a doctor in over 20 years, does that mean I don't need health insurance?

With all due respect sir, just because you have been lucky enough not to have and a problem before where you may have needed one, does not mean that it's not smart to carry just in case. I will protect myself bc police mostly just respond AFTER an accident has already happened. btw i also work security like you and i've been military police.
2 cases in my life. I was 14yo walking thru the woods on our land alone and a pack of wild dogs (known not friendly) began to approach me. I fired on round of my rifle towards them and they fled. I was 26 leaving a restaurant in downtown ATL and was approached from the back by a man asking for money. After several "NO's" he got persistant. I turned towards him and displayed my holstered pistol with my hand on it. He shut up and walked the other way. I'm now 43 and carry EVERYDAY.

can i get a leather holster for my cock 16? it is long and hits the toilet water when i sit down to shit, but when i drive, it would be nice to wrap that thing up
have an older Galco holster very similar to yours. I carry my Glock 36, 19 and even my 26 in it. It conceals well. I wear mine the same way you do. I have been CCW for over 2 years with it and have never been spotted. I spent a day working with police officers and firefighters putting out and taking in flags last veterans day. No one spotted the fact that I was carrying. Good retention and comfortable enough to work in. Great holster and thanks for the video!
"Open Carry" to carry your gun in such a way that it is clearly visible. The legal definition varies from state to state. In VA there are NO laws governing open carry. There are some laws that restrict where guns can be "schools, the state capitol etc" but that is about it. So far no wild west shootouts despite years of anti gun nazi propaganda.
In my state of Kansas,we have open carry, but if you have that gun on in the holster loaded,in a car,it's considered a CONCEALED weapon and requires a CCW permit.
nice vid...i have that holster and i know a friend that has it...it saved his life. Mine however is not broken in and i have been playing with it for over a year. the gun is stuck in it and i have to physically pull it off the gun. do you put anything on yours?
i like that Holster...im glad u reviewed it with the Glock 23 cuz im looking for a good holster for my glock 23....i can open/conceiled carry my Glock 23....im in PA so yea b
i live in az , i couldnt imagine not being able to carry my gun.... The first person that says that i cant ... i'll shoot'em.... florence doc officer.
btw, you cant have your shirt over the gun.unless ur cwp. or c3.
hell yeah. I have lived here almost my whole live. born and raised here, but when I joined the military I had to move to Ca and it's an open carry state, but the retards will not issue ccw permits unless you are a judge, prosicutor, or some victims of crimes....total crap
If you lived in AZ, you would have KNOWN that carrying concealed is a CCW. NOT cwp. Also, nice attitude to display to the public in representation of a so-called licensed user! NOT!
Real permit carriers are trained in class to show respect and act in a responsible manner toward the public. WHERE did you REALLY get this so-called permit?? IF you really have one??
I have thought of this when I go to the ATM so I just undo the seatbelt before driving up to the ATM. I try to think of what if's before they come up and plan how to react. I guess that comes with working as an armed security officer for 8 years.
Nice video, anyone who has used this and other holsters like IWB holsters, how does this compare in terms of concealment. Was searching for IWB holsters for a glock 23 and came apun this galco holster. I love everything about it except it's outside the waistband, and a lot of my shirts are tighter than this guys so the printing might be more of a problem for me.
In some states printint is considered open and not concealed. This can be taken care of with an In the Waist Band holster.
Better yet check your local laws to see if printing is ok. MANY states its legal to open carry, and so printing is no big deal at all. A sheriff could tell you, but ask them to cite you a law # so it can be verified. Some may blow smoke and just throw out an answer of what they believe. Always follow up on your answers.
I've never heard of a case where an individual had a gun taken from them while carrying unless it involved the job like police or armed guards.
I've openly carried three years and never had an incident and I'm involved in the nationwide carry movement and never heard of an incident in all the stories. It's certainly possible though.
"downy" as in "down syndrome" it doesn't take much for a criminal to get a gun 'how does he?' the dorky American says. From people having the right to get a gun, wrong people? you live in America 50% of Americans are bad people who get behind the trigger. Britain have no statistics to see how our crime rate goes. how does Australia have them on America you say? we just need to turn our tv on man. Nice gun by the way, and guns aren't banned here.

What are Va open carry laws? All the states i know of that have Open carry. You can not carry on you loaded or unloaded in a car. With out a permit. It has to be locked up out of reach unloaded.
VA Open Carry is great. As long as it is exposed and visible you can carry a pistol even a loaded one. You need a state CHP ( Concealed Handgun Permit ) To conceal it in the car or on your person. There are location rules but the state laws are uniform throughout the commonwealth.
