Chained dog living in the mud

I dont understand the reason for chaining a dog. My dog is part of my family. Love it, and would never it leave alone and chained outside. What is the rational for having a pet and mistreating it?

poor thing. thats why i hate poor people. they just LOVE to chain dogs up on a 3 foot chain for their entire lives to serve as cheap alarm systems or to "breed em" to make 20 bucks every once in a while. fucking trash people. Dogs are very social and need to be apart of the family.

that poor baby NEEDS 2 b rought in the house n b a member of a family/pack. he more than likely does smell cuz NOBODY wants 2 b bother with him....everything is frozen on 2 the ground.
