  • You're lucky that was already built! Alabama April 27 tornado EF5 1/4 ml. from me! Considering building one in ground tho for $ and other reasons. And to the people that think this isnt sound I say it will hold up to bomb unless its a direct hit and if that was the the case if your shelter did hold the radiation would get you! Im sure that helps the property value!

  • very nice protection, thanks for sharing.

  • pardon my ignorance, i live in a country where deadly natural disasters never happen (yet), but i thought these shelters are usually underground

  • Your ignorance is excused ----

I have NEVER heard of any area on earth that does NOT have some type of NATURAL DISASTER - you started off your comment with a falsehood !!!

Many FALL OUT shelters ( NOT BOMB SHELTER ) were built above ground - in those days they did not have the Knowledge ( as you seem to lack too ) that many of us have today -----

I just call it a bomb shelter because that phrase is more widely used --- So shoot me Ignoramous

  • Singapore has NEVER HAD A Typhoon ???? Or earth quake ?? well your due !!!!

  • HI! Here in Sweden every department MUST have a bomb shelter wich means that all 9000 000 citizen are safe in case of war or other threats. In peace time we use it for storage. Every school, hospital, warehouse, mall, hotel and so on has a bombshelter. So if bombs start 2 fall down...dont worry u will have a bomb shelter in every street corner ;) Sweden, the safest country in the world :P PS: we have them underground...safer that way:P;)

  • @DisIsSPARTAAAA

Is it lead layered? What about radon poisoning? That is why they built it away from the home. But then again, will you be in there when something happen? I think above and inside shelter is more practical.

  • @Timaptimean I will do this slowly so you Can Grasp it---- I-T W-A-S B-U-I-L-T IN 1-9-6-2

  • Hi! In Sweden where im from, every department buliding MUST have a bomb shelter. That means that all 9000 000 citizens are protected in case of a war scenario. Google it...write SKYDDSRUM and you will see how they look like.

  • i dont think that would ever survive a bomb

  • Nice bomb shelter, and It can still be used for a storm shelter, good thinking.

  • Why did you take off the steel door?
