@Manowarrior1992 To be a viking was to be a raider. Only a very small percentage of the population was vikings, you are misusing the term.

Your definition of nature religion is absolutely wrong, it has nothing to do with how it spreads.And just to be clear, and staying in touch with other outdated terms, Norse religion was a culture religion.

I say again; lay off your romantic notions of "vikings". That shit emerged and died out in the 1800s.

@Skullfaakked actually, being a viking did not necessarily mean you were a raider. The Scandinavian tribes were around at least 100 years before they started raiding. however, most battles happened on home turf. the raiding was a result very little gain from home turf fights and it was the warbands within the viking culture that set out to pilage. finally, Norse religion does not mean nature religion norse translates to north so a rough translation would be north religion.

A viking was the person who went out to pillage, the act of pillageing from the sea was called "Go in viking" People who fought for a living (note: Between other scandinavians) would have been called housecarls.

@hackforloser Most Europeans were Christian by then. The Scandinavians were some of the last (though not THE last) to convert, but that made them no less Vikings.

If you understand who he is, He was a Viking King of England, Denmark, Norway and Part of Southern Sweden.

He is buried in England Winchester Cathdral sadly his bones our mixed up i seen is chest myself, I am interested by him and look up to him as a Viking King.
