JOSEPH-HECTOR FIOCCO is a musician and composer of Brussels, born and died in Brussels ( 20 January 1703 - 22 June 1741 ). Fiocco's father, Pietro Antonio Fiocco , himself a musician, left Venice and settled in Brussels in 1682 .
His father, John and Joseph, a half-brother, composer and conductor , who provide her musical education and became a violinist . He was appointed master of song in 1731 at the Cathedral of Antwerp . In 1737 he returned to Brussels, where he held the same position at the church of St. Gudula .
He is also professor of Greek and Latin. Next to the training of young singers , he devotes much attention to the composition of religious music , such as the nine lessons of darkness . He died at age 38.
