  • And the dark knight ^.^

  • Batman

    Batman Returns

    Batman Begins

    The Dark Knight Rises

    Best Comic Movies Ever Made

  • Something tells me he does this for just about everything. Whether leaving the stove on or wondering if he needs to use the toilet.

  • how long was he sitting in that chair was he sitting there after the Batman 1989 movie ended

  • @Optimus313 Sent you a private message, too long to reply here!!

  • @Optimus313 And talking about the best Batman, personally I think Michael Keaton and Kevin Porter are the best!! Porter has made 3 fan movies from Bat in the Sun productions, and he's really got into the character!! Also, he resembles very closely the comic book, but with the eyes of Keaton under the cowl!! You should watch them if you haven't yet!! Christian Bale is the best Bruce Wayne, he made a great job, and he was a great Batman in Begins!! So; Keaton, Porter and Bale for me :)

  • @funzi159 Okay that's cool I think Keaton and Bale did the same and got into their representation of the dark knight.I was looking at a video and you have people complain about the bat suit in the dark knight me I like it for the simple fact that it looks cool and the talk about what no other batman talked about and that is turning your head left and right. You got to get it to Nolan for that. Not to mention they made it more tactical in fighting.

  • I love this movie but I have one question what in the blue hell are you sitting in the dark for?lol I mean just because they call you the Dark Knight don't mean you have to sit in the dark lol.

  • Thanks for posting this video, this is one of my favourite scenes EVER!!! Everytime I watch it, it is like the first time!!! If you want, I have created a page to re-evaluate Michael Keaton's work in Batman, the name is "There is only one Batman; Michael Keaton" check on Facebook!!! :D I post this video right now!! :D

  • @funzi159

What about Kevin Conroy on Batman The animated series?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Kevin Conroy can be considered the voice of Batman, not only because he interpreted the role so many times, more than anyone else, but also because he got the soul of the character! What I like in Conroy's performance is the fact that his voice is deep, gives you the idea of someone who wears not only a physical mask but even an interior mask!! Moreover, TAS is the most faithful Batman's adaptation ever, there are all the elements of Batman!!

  • @funzi159 That is true not to mention he can split up the voices from batman and Bruce Wayne even though he's playing the same Character.

  • @Optimus313 True, but the double voice was a Keaton's idea, he was the first in the entire Batman's history to have different voices while Bruce Wayne and Batman!! The influence of Keaton in the Batman's universe is incredible, he gave shape to the character and most of all he defined him in the real world!! Keaton is always will be the truest Batman, who really got the soul of the original character!!

  • @funzi159 That is true I completely agree with you about that oh and you forgot one thing and that is the batmobile which was the most popular car ever in the batman universe that they continued to use in the cartoon and comic books.I have to say this about Christain Bales batman voice in Batman begins to me he did a good job between Bruce and Batman he didn't force it out like in The dark Knight which made my throat hurt lol.

  • @funzi159 Michael Keaton and Christain Bale will forever be the best to represent The Dark Knight. That's just my point of view.

  • @Optimus313 In Begins Bale was perfect or the role, but actually I think he made a better job as Bruce Wayne than Batman, but not because he was not good, but just because he gave shape to a character who has never been explored so much!! I love Begins for how it deals with Bruce's struggle to become Batman!! About the voice, in TDK was ridiculous, but it's Nolan's fault, he modified the voice in post-production, still I don't know why, he sounds like a chainsmoker!!

  • @funzi159 I agree and I think he plays a good batman in the sense of a new view and realistic view on batman. You hit the nail right on the head on struggle of becoming batman. You have great views on batman I have to say that is one thing about TDK that annoyed me.So what do you think of the Jokers?Me I like both of them in different ways.Ledger joker was more towards the up to date Comic book.Nicholson was more towards haha joke like in the animated series.I more to say but no space

  • This scene captures wonderfully the isolation of Bruce Wayne.

Look how perfectly its juxtaposed with the frenetic circus music and chaos that was taking just prior to this beautiful cut of Wayne Manor in the snow

  • @rrrevan Michael Keaton made a great work defining the close and dark character of Bruce Wayne!! In his movies, he really looks like a tormented person who can't beat the demons in his head!! Incredible!!!

If you want to check my page on Facebook, "There is Only One Batman; Michael Keaton"!!!

  • What's so powerful about this scene, is that outside of "Batman", Wayne is left to stew and fester in his emotions, left alone sitting in that chair, dead. When the bat signal shines, he truly comes alive, as his real persona, Batman.

  • 0:03

Is Amazing Because you can Imagine how Powerful this Scene is with all that Bass

  • The world needs Batman

  • The eyebrow.

  • I don't know what it is, but it was something about Keaton's face and demeanor that REALLY brought the Batman persona home. He was very mysterious and even intimidating at the same time in both personas. Now I really like Nolan's vision, but nothing can beat Burtons. Keaton WAS Batman. Bale is just a guy in a bodysuit. lol

  • @sp1duh84

he was more Batman than Bruce Wayne. Not that it's a bad thing, quite the contrary.

  • @sp1duh84

What did you think of Adam West and Kevin Conroy?

  • @Johnlindsey289 It's funny. I was 5 when my dad took me to see Batman '89, so it was a crazy mix of being scared sh*tless and being in complete awe of the film. So when I used to watch Adam West's show, it helped me like Batman ALOT better because I wasn't scared so much. lol And as far as Kevin goes, it's impossible to NOT mention him. Conroy will go down in history as contributing to Batman's mythos. Better him than Clooney any day...lol

  • @sp1duh84 According to Burton he also chose Keaton because of the eyes. He didn't need dialogue, the eyes spoke to you.

  • @AbeVegaJr Exactly, and they DID speak. lol

  • @AbeVegaJr It's absolutely true, Michael Keaton didn't even need a mask to be scary and intimidating, also he has that little of insane that makes the character perfect!! Just think of the scene in Vickie's apartment, he definitely gets crazy and his eyes have that gleam of madness!! Keaton is great also for this reason, because he is the edgy Batman that no-one else could be, he really looks believable because a guy who goes around at Night dressed up as a Bat must be a little insane!!

  • GOTHAM NEEDS YOU....

  • When I saw this in theaters and when he got up and the bat signal was behind him, people cheered.

  • @sspdirect02 in mine too! =D

  • The bat signal. When I was young, I tried to make my own with a torch, painting the batman logo onto the lens and failing badly.

  • I thought it was obious that it WASN'T supposed to show that Bruce Wayne was just moping around waiting to be called, but that he was the lonely, distubed man brooding again, by himself, in the solitude of his mansion. And when the Bat signal calls, it jolts him to attention that it's time to put on the suit and rescue Gotham City again. So I don't see the criticism to this scene. As for the Bat signals, Wayne Manor is in the outskirts and they don't accept visitors, it seems. He's a loner!

  • are you sure your not batman? i see some mirrors with the batman symbol stationed all over your house....

  • @skippzz LMFAO

  • @skippzz

Tell your friends, all of them! I OWN THE NIGHT. I AM THE NIGHT.

  • Best scene ever.Michael keaton will always be the only one who can play batman.I mean christian bale is alright for a new batman but will never be better as michael keaton. Also tim burtons music was so perfect in this scene all the other batmans dont have that awesome music.

  • @illusion1134 Danny Elfmans epic music!

  • good scene but the batsignal is just WAY to unrealistic

  • @TTPD3535

    Fuck realism.

  • @Skeletonwitharaygun ye u guess your right eatlest its a good movie hey

  • @Skeletonwitharaygun

Do you think the animated show was the best version of Batman?

  • Again, awesome scene. There's room for more than one Interpretation, I don't know why so called batman fans, cant appreciate both Tim burtons and Chris Nolans versions.

  • @MasterXploder88 Agree too.

  • Sorry Kilmer, and especially Clooney and Bale.

Keaton is the man or BATMAN! Nuff Said!

  • @videozfann I agree.

  • I like both Burton's & Nolan's visions of Batman. The fantasy of Burton and the more realism of Nolan. Now for that Joel Shoemaker(I know that's not his name. lol) guy. Batman Forever was ok, but Batman & Robin was just bad and wrong. lol.

  • @MrBizzel

What about the animated Batman show and animated Batman films?

  • A lot of people may not agree with me on this 1 but Michael Keaton is indeed dee Best Batman outta everyone

  • @Kevbro180 well of course, what fool would disagree?

  • when i was a kid i always thought this scene was awesone but looking at now, its so stupid. i mean why would bruce wayne have a bunch of bat signals around his house? wouldn't that attract too unwanted attention? lol. the real bruce wayne from the comics wouldn't have that on his house and he wouldnt just sit alone in his dark manison just waiting like that. lol. but if it makes for a better shot then why not? right?

  • @JayJD585

It's a comic book movie after all. I prefer this to Nolan's realism.

  • wait...how does nobody notice the multiple bat signals on wayne manor?

  • i wish burton and nolan did a batman movie together. that wuld b unspeakably amazing

  • Nolan fucking who ?

  • Comment removed

  • If Burton and Nolan could make a Batman love child no one would be displeased.

  • burton knew batman deep down i think more then any other of the directors that came afterwards. you can tell in scenes like this.

  • Bale: Why is Michael Keaton dreessing up as Batman?

Catwoman: Because he IS Batman, you...

  • this scene is SOOOO tim burton

  • This is fucking epic! what a scene!

  • Now if only the fight scenes could be as bad asss...

  • Keaton is the man or Batman!

The 2 dislikes are Bale and Nolan.

  • @videozfann

Come on dude, Nolan saved Batman after Schumacher destroyed him

  • @Johnlindsey289 Did not get no better.

  • This scene is definitely for poetic effect. I like the reflectors and how Bruce sits there and it's like he has no purpose, just waiting for that signal, for when the Batman is needed...

Maybe it is a bit silly but it is very thought provoking. I like this scene though. I liked all these movies surprisingly.

  • Comment removed

  • if the reflectors are on the house woudn't that make it obvious that he's batman seriosly

  • @tropicthunder110 You never know, maybe the reflectors are on the back of the house? Wayne Manor is supposedly outside the city limits where there wouldn't be a lot of people around anyway. Visually it's a great gag... as far as discretion goes a bit silly. But it is a Batman movie...

  • This was so retarded. Talk about discrete.

  • 0:20 Yeah, just stand there and look at that signal for 6 hours. Waste your time when there's an emergency... You know, it might be a life or death situation. I mean, HURRY UP AND DO SOMETHING!

  • @whaowman

If by 6 hours you mean 6 seconds

  • @rrrevan of course. It's just sarcasm

  • Best scene in the movie.

  • tim burton is genius!

  • "Some of this house is very much, other parts aren't."- paraphrasing the scene from Batman(1989)

  • EPIC !

  • So NOOONE , noticed that mr wane has 2 big bat screen light thingy atached to his house? -.-

  • @Gouki6669 I always thought that. You'd think when he has visitors they might say - "are they bat signals."

  • @byrnsey01 i fucking reckon

  • @Gouki6669 Technology then wasnt what it is now. If burton did his movies now with the CGI capabilities we now have.......wow

  • @shadovex28 lol i know, but just figure that they could had hide the bat signals better ^^ :P

  • This scene illustrates the loneliness and obsession of Bruce Wayne better than all the pop-philosophy in Nolan's films.

  • @MerlinParish

Absolutely my friend...you just said it all

  • A lot of psychology in this scene. Not only is it visually striking, with that huge, beautiful room a character unto itself, it offers a look into Bruce Wayne's soul. He's sitting alone in the moonlit darkness of that huge room that's really more of a cavern; the Bat in him seeking comfort. The only real way he can connect with Gotham City is when wearing the cape, so he mostly stays away. Sometimes he lets a lover into the manor, but it never lasts, and then it's back to him and the dark rooms.

  • @chainbluelightning1

That's an excellent observation - the lighting really does convey the image of the cave.

So many subtle touches to burtons realization of gotham

  • I hope it's a room which only He can A;fred can come. What if guest was in there.

Guest: So Bruce how's things in Wayne Enterpr...(Bat signals splashes)

    Bruce: Oh oh.

Guest: Bruce....what's that? Is that a bat? What the...

Bruce: No...it's not a bat it 's ur.....

  • This shows how much more powerful Batman Returns is compared to Batman '89.

  • If this doesn't get you pumped up, THEN WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

  • That's so badass, he's just sitting there waiting to be summoned like some kind of demonic guardian.

  • @originalarmo And the scary part is, the reflectors only shine into that one room, which means he probably sits in that same chair every night, waiting...

  • @originalarmo Micheal Keaton was a better Batman for me on this EPIC part!XD

  • @SonicFan200000

    What about kevin Conroy?

  • @Johnlindsey289 He's still good.Cuz he made Batman's voice an insperation from Tim Burton's Batman.^v^
