A Campbell Cane could be an interesting senior defense device. I was asked last year about designing a cane that could be functional, artistic and defensive. The latest design fits this description. I was involved in martial arts in the 60's..now I am way over 60. I would not want to be on the other end.
When he did the roll, he was too slow coming out of it. I could do everything apart from the split, but i could if i was flexible. Try this bith a 6 foot bamboo stick performing 720 revolutions per minute. Then come back and attack me. You'll still lose.
Chances are if they need a cane just to help them walk/stand, using it for combat would be slightly impractical... because then they wouldn't be able to walk/stand.
i don't think most people with Cains do not have allot of power, or are willing to train to roll on the ground, so may i ask you sir, what is your purpose in learning that cane forum?
he lifts the cane multiuple times i think someone with a cane will need to have their cane on the ground and why the ppl always make noises why the fight or train
Somehow I don't think my Nanna (Grandma) would be able to manage the high kicks and the splits likle the demonstration.... I think I'll try teach her to use her walking stick to thrust... shield... kick/gouge in the nuts .
dissapointment, that's the only word for this, I am sorry to say this but at first this isn't effective, and second it looks more like cheerleading.
Question: how can you become a blackbelt in 5 years, that is just rubbish. To reach the level of blackbelt you have to train for 10 years, that's my opinion. He doesn't even have a proper basic with a worthless horsestance and other stances. sorry
his kata is rather silly, i was expecting something better. the whole twirling thing is not that necessary, it only creates space between you and the opponent. it would have been better to see it applied against another person
I feel you @ Chrome33333 - that guy sucks like a big baby shouting & clamering for momy's milk. But still, if u wanna learn cane techniques, try "Chinese Kung Fu canes" such as "Duin Kwan, Gun, Si Dek Kwan etc..." Japanese art suck - they're not Kungfu. Kungfu will give u a more concise range of stances & footwork.
when i heard that there was a form for canes i got excited because it was i weapon that i could carry with me and not get i trouble, but if this guy is a "Master of the form" it sucks so im very dispointed
the clothes are called a gi or dogi (do-gee)in japanese martial arts.
dojo is the place you train in.
as far as i can tell its just personal preference but anywhere i have ever trained, only the higher belts get to choose the colour and style of their uniform.

The Martial arts videos on expert village are so bad, that it totally ruins the site's credibility for me- because I know martial arts.
what if I'll search for something on expertvilage that I actually know nothing about?
I guess I won't, then.
