I did not know Nate but he leaves the world I live in a better place and for that I thank him from the bottom of my heart.

Nate my brother, you are an inspiration.

  • Can't believe its been a year. You're missed and your legacy lives on.

  • For all who choose to comment, please consider your words carefully. There are people who are remembering Nathan Henn as they watch this for the 20th, 30th, or perhaps the 100th time. He was their friend, maybe even their son. You may watch this four minute video, write a remark and continue on, but remember that others may not be doing the same. Some must see what you write each time they revisit this corner of the internet to remember Nathan, so please consider them as you choose your words.

  • That was nice, but this is an Obama-type initiative. Love what you're doing, though. Keep up the good work, from a black conservative who doesn't like Obama.

  • AMERICA WE NEED TO DO MORE!

May Nate's service and life story aid in bringing a soul harvest greater than our ability to imagine.

  • @TheShortWesker

This is NOT spam. this message should show somehow.

As the Father of Nate, the team and color guard reception of Nate on the return of his body to the USA was most welcome. The volunteers who stayed late were much appreciated. Thank you.

  • @son2Aslan

Your son should serve as a reminder to the world that heroes do exist, and that one person can still make a difference.

Again, you have our deepest sympathies, and may you, and your family find peace, and may Nate enjoy his Eternal Peace and Everlasting Life.

  • Such a beautiful song to commemorate such a beautiful life.

  • dam this just happened like 5 days ago.... R.I.P. Nate.

  • I never knew Nate. But, my goal is to live with as much passion and strength as he did. I know God's got him, and that he's probably so happy, and even though I never knew him, I miss him. I want to live like Nate Henn did. i hope his story affects many others in similar ways.

  • I didn't know Nate but I can not help but mourn him. My parents are using him as an example of why I should throw away my dream of going to Uganda. I see his story as an inspiration. Any one of us could die at any second, and at least Nate lived a life he could be proud of. He changed so many lives in his short time on Earth and he will keep inspiring others like me in his death. I hope that knowledge helps his loved ones get through this terrible time.

  • Amazing, moving, stunning video. The song is Mumford & Sons - Timshel.

  • Stunning video. Nate was and is an inspiration to us all. RIP Nate. And not that this matters AT ALL but what music is this?? Stunning song as well... so inspiring to back up an inspiring man.

  • 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.'

Rest In Peace, Nate "Oteka" Henn.

  • Incredible journey...

Does anyone know what this song is?

  • @Chinwekewa911 Timshel by Mumford & Sons

  • Great video. Awesome legacy. Praying for the Henn family as they grieve.

  • I was shocked by this I was expecting more great news. I'm sorry Nate we love you for what you did you will not be forgotten

  • :[[

  • My thoughts and prays go to his family and Innocent as well.

I dont know what to say im shocked by this at least he didnt go alone he had innocent by him the whole time

  • gah this made me cry. =/

  • R.I.P Nate

I don't understand, Nate was helping the children and people of their country, but they throw Nate's devotion back at him with a bomb that took his life. We all live on one planet, by our minds are worlds apart.

  • @ItsMeTansie the bombers were from a somali militant group, not ugandans.

  • @alduya It doesn't make it any better.

  • @ItsMeTansie i never said it did. your comment made it sound like the ugandans were throwing back all nate was trying to do in his face by killing him, so i wanted to make it clear that ugandans were NOT responsible for his death.

  • @ItsMeTansie While it doesn't dimnish the sadness or unfairness of what happened I think it is important to note that this attack was not instigated by the Ugandan people, nor have they thrown his devotion back at him. An extremist Islamic group from Somalia has claimed responsibility for the attack. Even so, somehow I feel like despite this he would have been the first to want to show the love of Christ to people who make mistakes like that

  • @meggarsDD It doesn't make it any better, though. Nate was trying to help a country in need, and got killed while there.

  • @ItsMeTansie no ugandan wished it that way. Besides, many other people died during at that bombing. It was a terrorist attack and it knew no one. May he and all others rest in peace.

  • this is very touching. my heart goes out to his family.

he seemed like such a compassionate man.
