I haven't seen this for almost 35 years - It was my favourite show when I was eight. I had been looking for it on DVD (unsuccessfully) for a while. Many thanks for posting it !!!
Thank you very much for posting! I loved this TV show. It was aired in Italy in 1978 when I was nine. I've always preferred it to the Japanese cartoons aired at the same hour in the other Italian TV channel (there were only twoTV channels in Italy those days!). PS: Japanese cartoons were much more successful than "le isole perdute" and oblivion occurred. I think the show was never re-aired in Italy.
I remember this song in Spanish. Un hombre de gran caudal tuvo una feliz idea. Reunió 40 chicos, muchachas y muchachos, de todas la razas de diversos paises y color ....
thank you for posting I remember the show but had forgetten the name. It was in syndication here in Montreal Canada. Now I can catch up on all the episodes. Thank again.
i allways thought they were english, i must have been 6 years old, i never knew it was on all over the world, only me and my brother recall this.... thanks
I can't believe my eyes!!! I've been singing this song for 30 years and no one remembered this series. "Islas perdidas" in Spanish. I used to watch it on TV here in Spain when I was young. I could remember the beginning perfectly, I loved it. Thank you SO MUCH!
Hi, found out that Cornelia Frances, the actress who played "Widow" Quinn (Helen's, Aaron's and Jason's mother) is very successful in soap operas in Australia, and as the hostess in Australian the missing link. Great actress with British drama education.
Thanks so much. I used to watch this in UK when I was a kid. I think it was Sunday afternoons on ITV. I was only 8, so I hardly remember any of it, apart from the fact that a group of international kids are stranded on an island where everyone's name begin with 'Q'. The theme song has always been in my head but I could never recall the programme's name. After a long search on the internet, I finally found it last year! And I had no idea the Asian girl actually spoke my mother's dialect!
THanks so much for posting this !! Unbelievable to see it agian for the first time after 30 years ! I was glued to the series & was young enough to be terrified bu The mysterious "Q" Looking forward to watching it. Brings back as folk have said below a tinge of real nostalgia !! Thanks again !
Thank you for posting this. Not only was it a trip down memory lane but it is tinged with sadness - Jane Vallis, the young actor who played "Anna" - died of cancer in 1992. The island girl is Margaret Nelson who has since moved out of acting altogether. Both girls established themselves in 1975 in the classic Australian movie of Jim and Hal McElroy's, directed by Peter Weir, "Picnic At Hanging Rock".
I can only add the name in Spanish to the tags of this video.
It's impossible for me to add subs to the series because I don't know Spanish and even if I knew it would take me months to add subs to all the episodes in the same way it would take you to add subs in Hebrew. :-)
Thank you so much for these episodes. I have been searching the internet for years in the hope of finding episodes of this series I loved so much as a child. It was re-run a couple of times in Australia but not since the early 1980s. Thanks again!
Gashati you're a genious! I never believed I would ever get to seeing any of these episodes again! This series is one of my best childhood memories (as a child in late 70's Israel as well). Thank you!
Thanks very much for uploading these episodes. I used to love watching this programme when I was a teenager back in the late 70s. I always wanted to see the show again but it was never on TV again after the early 80s. I look forward to seeing some of the other episodes too. Thanks again Gashati...

Yes, how this series ended up in Israel
from Paramount and the Ten network
makes complete sense now.

This series from 1976 is Australian made, the credits count Paramount
and the 10 network. The ten network is an old Australian television
channel. You will hear many Australian accents, all the people from the island
are Australian and British actors, all well known.
The Islands filmed are all in Australia, thus the good weather.
you can also tell from the flora, though you wont see any kangaroos.
STRANGELY, THIS SERIES DISAPPEARED TOTALLY FROM AUSTRALIA
IN 1979...unavailable untill today.
