yes you can. a 12 string just has 6 more strings of the same tuning to just give a fuller sound. it might sounds a little different but u can still play the song the same way

@Zeoras Yes you can play 12 string songs on a 6 string. The reason for 12 strings is kind of a reverb. If youve ever seen one the strings are the same strings but really thin. Creates like a auditorium acoustical sound.
