  • One of my favorites by him. He should have released it as a single. Amazing

  • Hey Fox, Dee was there. He was there in full form and bass. I think. He was still alive. He was with the band in Denver in 1973 around October or November. We all miss him. Joe

  • I am the 9,000th person to view this video and I feel honored. I have been a fan since 1972 when my sister brought home "Elton John". In between my first and last name in my high school ring 5 years later I had "EJ" inscribed. Many of you share a love of these two men - Elton and Bernie and how much they have meant in your lives. Bless them both.

  • My all time favorite off the Don't Shoot Me album <3

  • I can't feel Dee Murray bass lines and back vocal in this song!!! I think he wasn't in it!!!

  • I've got just to say there amounts and amounts of original videos of bennie and the jets , daniel, yellow brick road and so and so...... but Gems like this one or Captain Fantastic never oh c'mon Elton......

  • One of my all-time favourites. I used to say that I could rest in peace if I ever heard it live in concert. I finally did it on his 60th birthday in New York City. What a wonderfull moment... hop I can remember that for many many years xDD Thank Elton for all his great music!!

  • a very wonderful track!

  • I have to thanks you.

My sister, who died recently, had a favorite song from this album and this was it.

She would tell me "you gotta hear this song"! but I was usually skip it and play "crocodile rock" ad nauseam.

We lived near the Hollywood Bowl where this was recorded, I was nine years old and this takes me back to some great memories.

    Thanks again.

    Sean in southern california

  • You're very welcome Sean. I have a sister that is 25 and I'm 20, but we both discovered Elton John's music early in our childhoods. High Flying Bird is a favorite of my sister and myself as well and I'm glad this could help you relive some of those great memories.

  • THANK YOU! :-)

  • do you have crocodile rock from hollywood bowl 1973?

  • excellent, thanks

  • Very cool. I have a set from the HB concert but I am missing this track. Thanks.
