was this song big in other parts of the country? This song was huge in new Orleans in 85, my stepmom even had an apron she wore when cooking that said dont mess with my toot toot
@TheCopperchopper YES IT WAS A HUGE HIT IN NEW ORLEANS,I USE TO LIVE THERE AT THIS TIME,AND EVERY TIME IT PLAYED ON THE RADIO,PEOPLE WOULD CRANK IT UP AND PLAY IT 4 ALL TO HEAR.
WHEN I WAS 32 IWAS DATING THIS ITALIAN LADY THIS WAS HER FAVORITE SONG OH WHAT MEMORIES. I AM NOW 61 YOUNG AT HEART. HAVE A GOOD DAY. YOU LIKE THIS PUT FRANK MILLS MUSIC BOX DANCER ON.
they used to play this at my grandmothers bar in new orleans. I used to hear it when i went to the door to ask for quarters to play pac-man when I was 8. its my daughters nick-name now
Played this for my classes at San Diego City College...a guy said in amazement, "My Moma used to sing that to me all the time." (and yes, he is from Louisiana!)
Thank you so much for uploading this song!! My nickname since I was born has been "Toot" and my mother said it was Toot's song, and thanks to you I now know who sings it. Thanks again!!
I remember my grandma singing this song to me as a kid! my daughter is now called toot toot and she loves this song....she is 2 and dancing to it right now!
hearing this makes me really miss Louisiana, lots of people are always bragging on california, but she dont have 1 damn thing on Louisiana, give me Louisiana any day of the week, she has it all over on california.
Yes! Volume full and toes tapping! This is so upbeat. love the music. Thanks for posting. have it on CD. Good one to do housework with. broom flies! lol
I'm so happy this song is up online! My father loves music and as a child we'd make weekly stops into the record store. As a 5 year old (1993) I saw that aligator with the accordian and begged him for the CD. We bought it and for many years this was a song we'd sing together. This is by far my favorite version of the song.
This Sounds alot better then the vinyl single i got. I thank Epic must of had something when they pressed it. Because this one sounds clear campared to the single which as bass problems.
