After Xanadu this is probably the worst musical ever made.Terrible direction,lousy photography and phony acting with peopel who can barely sing. Meryl Streep may be an actress but she is no movie star. A star can be in any movie and they anchor every scene they are in . She anchors none. She looks like a drag queen and the 'camaraderie' withe her two friends is oooo so corny and unbelievable. Lots of shots of them laughing about nothing. a major disaster!!!!!!!

No that came out wrong. I meant everyone i know says they're completely hooked to this movie. I am too, it's really one of those movies that you just have to watch again and again and you would never get tired of it.

I watched it 13 times in one week after buying the dvd!!!! This is my most favourite movie of all time!!It made me laugh it made me cry I could watch it for the rest of my life. The actors did the most amazing job at acting and how they performed the songs WONDERFUL
