  • look at jk. lol.

    who is on tenors?

and is that nick on 5th bass? but sounds pretty good guys

  • Tim Henderson and I can't remember who the other one was.

  • Enterprise High School 2004

    Enterprise,AL

    This was our best year!

I was on 2nd bass that year.

Y'all are so dang critical. haha

this line was CLEAN no matter how we looked!

  • music is ok posture sucks.

  • yeah you guys are good enough to switch to traditional grip. it looks better visually

  • these guys look kinda dumb, because of their elbows. if you want to play matched marching you need to wear your drum low, so that your elbows don't stick out... traditional looks better because if you only have one elbow out, it doesn't look bad. because of this, you can wear the drum higher, and that's good, because you want the sound of the bottom head - it has the snares.

  • SCV didnt look like shit.

although, yous guys elbows look funkayyyy

  • sounds good but it would wound better with better tuned drums

  • not bad. you sounded together.

  • I dont give a damn how you play as long as you sound good... i cant play with the traditional grip cuz im not too cordinated with my left hand but i still practice it. I just hold the stick like that in my right hand. but im a quad player so it dont really matter. but it wuz a really good cadence

  • yeah, match grip looks stupid with marching drums...look at SCV, it looked like shit

  • ....the guy above me is seriously retarded with his grip comment.

  • A percussion major student is seriously retarded? Do some research or ask a music professor. Traditional grip was designed for drummers playing on a titled drum; matched for flat. Yes, you can play traditional on flat, and it does look nice, but even DCI snare drummers will occasionally get caught dropping their left shoulder on rolls. Fact. Period.

  • My example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0-lTSfv0AE&search=cadet%20drumline

I know the chick on the end is short, and she could trash me anyday, sure; but elbow hanging below the snare? I think she'd do better with SCV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvlMVWB8TyM&search=wheelchair%20vanguard

  • Although I like the way trad looks over matched, I do recognize the advantages that matched does bring. However, I learned to march with trad and thus I play better trad. I play concert matched though.

The person you're calling retarded is probably better than you are, so you better show some respect.

  • Agree with both of the above: well played. I hate it when snares play traditional grip on flat drums; it totally defeats the purpose of it and makes the drummer's posture sloppy. But you played match grip, and it made me happy. Thank you for that. :)

    What school is this?

  • pretty solid

  • pretty
