I have been able to meet Allen Koepke as he is an Iowa native, and he knows our wonderful director very well! We sang it for him, and when we finished, he was actually crying. It was so beautiful. He actually wrote it for his daughter, and when he told us about what it meant to him, it was so heartfelt and amazing. :) good job!
I sung this song before with a larger choir. I think you all have a great sound and BLEND beautifully. I dont know why ppl are saying it was bad at all.
As i said in the description, a lot of it has to do with the fact that it was a really really cheap and crappy camera. The sound is terrible. While the performance definitely wasn't as good as when we went to contest with it, it wasn't as bad as it sounds here :(

I performed this my sohpmore and junior year in Madrigals (the highest choir) when I high school... I was humming this song and decided to see if it was posted on youtube and looking here.... I LOVE this song.... I've been trying to teach my cousin to sing it with me.... I love this SONG.. PLEASE PLEASE NEVER EVER TAKE IT OFF OF YOUTUBE
I sang this song in 6th grade and I still know it word for word and note to note and I am in 8th grade now! Makes me cry. :)

I love this song, but I'm not a fan of this video. =/ Very pitchy at times and the overall sound isn't quite... there. Doesn't do the song justice.
