  • Vietnam could be better in building and welfare... But communism just wont allow it to happen. The people there are what makes Vietnam it is today, not the government.

  • I like the music although I don't understand the words. Best of luck in future. Well done.

  • Saigon is my home town but why let them re-name saigon gia dinh after a killer. We all know that HCM is a bloody killer, let fight back the name Saigon Gia Dinh. When you post this video please don't name it ho chi minh, thank you.

  • hanht, you get it wrong. she has a beautiful voice. She got a big contract with a recording company in europe for singing this song. The song written by a french guy. He must love vn to write this song. Please appreciate it.

  • the melodie of the song is so bad, like the cats in heat,la chanson est mauvais, comme des chats sont en chaleurs. what the fucking sound like the cats meow in the dark night, les français, un gang de losers there some viets kiss french ass,

  • hanht, why are you such a hater? my great-grandfather was a frenchman that settled in vietnam. if it weren't for the french, we wouldn't even have a written language today. and never a time had vietnam been so prosperous as the french colonial era, what did the chinese do for vietnam? much of the beautiful architecture, the universities, churches, and hospitals of vietnam were built by the french. where is your gratitude?

  • The Vietnamese written language as it is today was NOT created by the French, but originally by a Portugese missionary. Going back further in time, Vietnamese had its own written form, called "no^m". So, it is absolutely false to claim that the French gave Viet Nam a written language. As for "gratitude", the Vietnamese rightly felt no such obligation and inflicted a richly deserved and crushing military defeat on the French invaders in 1954, returning Viet Nam to the Vietnamese.

  • my friend, it is NOT absolutely false to claim the french had partial responsibility of the romancitization of the vietnamese language. yes, a portuguese missionary has been documented with partial credit to the written vietnamese language today but along with alexandre rhodes, a frenchman. the nom language that you are talking about no longer exists, its written form was extremely pragmatic, that a complete alphabet was not formed for easy writing.

  • a lot of the words were also drawings and some written alphabets. it is not anywhere as sophisticated as the vietnamese language today. as for gratitude, i'm not claiming the french were angels as colonists. which colonists were back then? it was a sign of the times. but you cannot say the french did not do anything for the vietnamese as a people and a country. we also cannot deny the vietnamese people were incapable of self-government back then.

  • just look at the period between 1975 and 1986 when vietnam was completely "independent" and obsolete from the world. how much prosperity did it achieve then? even today, the economic prosperity vietnam is gaining is largely due to foreign investments. as for vietnamese people, i can't help but to love them. but they are the same people that criticized my mother for being part-french and the same people who kicked dirt in my face because my father is american.

  • "Bonjour Vietnam", a Vietnamese girl was born in France sang it

  • her name is quynh anh, she's from vietnam but lives in belgium. the songwriter is marc lavoine.

  • what songs are those? they're really beautiful

  • dont just stand there and film, man, rent a motorbike and ride around, cruising.

  • I had a motor and had run by my self in Saigon.
