we would be that fast too if we we could slide the drop tank down like that instead of lifting if off the side copartment, and if everythign was just about preconnetecd
My Sister was the first female firefighter in our county and one the first 25 in our whole state so when I see a young Lady go out there and kick some ass like she does I'm impressed ! We have Women that want to be EMS but very few who want to be Firefighters. Most of the ones that are Firefighters are what I call "Hood Ornaments", beautiful things that do absolutely nothing ! YOU GO GIRL !
My company does more or less the same time. But we have different techniques. We are faster, our junior firefighters are faster. Visit the website of our company.

Great job by the explorer, but also big kudos to the department for designing a truck that can easily be setup by one person quickly. Clearly that truck was designed for one man (or woman) operation.
Didn't see if there were discharges on the back, but a custom piece of 1.5 to the jet siphon would be a nice addition. Good looking rig and fast work from the Driver/Operator.
whats bad about this video is, if a 17yo female explorer can do this this fast. then why does it take a lot of expirenced volunteers and paid firefighters sometimes 10 mins or longer to do the same thing. kudos to the young lady and those who trained her.wish the paid fire dept around here could do something that fast.
I keep pounding at my dept about intakes on the front or back of the truck. They always order side intakes it's fine in a parking lot. But there not good in narrow roads or drives. What I am saying is love the set-up.
Excellent truck and designed for use to it's potential. Also am on a volunteer rural dept. that will roll a tanker with one. Can the tanker also be used just to shuttle water, does it have any dump chutes, and what was the cost?
Excellent job. Saw the article in the September issue of Fire Apparatus magazine. Very well thought out apparatus. Excellent thinking by the apparatus design committee. We need more of these great thinkers, and for sure more of these dedicated young people that are willing to learn to actually do the job.
I couldn't be more impressed. She knows what she is doing...she doesn't miss a beat. Also, that rig looks like it is set up and designed very well. I'm extremely impressed and will have to look at Rosenbauer engines!
OK I am Impressed. I love departments that really think about their next new truck. This company didn't let 200 years of tradition get in the way. nice job love the set up
Very impressive...good job to all who were involved in that set up

We sure can, but that's with 2 or 3 folks helping. Great job! She'll have the ropes down well before she can be hired on anywhere.

I'm impressed - by both your Firefighter and the careful, systematic design and setup of your rig. Very nice - you all can be very proud of both!
