  • Love Never Dies is a great musical! It has some beautiful songs, beautiful lyrics and a fascinating history. Again, Andrew Lloyd Webber has delighted us with his art and genius. Webber Thanks!

  • AWESOME SCORE. ALW AT HIS BEST. MOVING STORY. GREAT CAST.

  • This is a superb musical and unlike most musicals I can listen to it over and over without tiring of it. Would love an Australian cast recording but seems it will now be a DVD!! AnD yes I HAVE SEEN IT unlike some of the bitter dicators who call themselves 'phans' who are dedicated to it's downfall. Love love love it ty ALW you are a genius!

  • ramin karimloo = <3

  • I thought it was going to be terrible. But it was amazing. I hated the idea of the story, it was actually very plausible and delicately written.

These immature idiots who haven't even seen the show and hate the story just because they have their own ideas about what "should" have happened are pathetic.

If you saw the show and hated it, fair enough. But the ones who judge it are pathetic.

  • Gotta admit, this song is beautiful and Ramin is a powerful and passionate singer - but it seems to be that a lot of the success (?) can be attributed to his and Sierra's voices. Why couldn't he save these beautiful compositions for a musical that works? It really, really bothers me. There's also a lot of reliance on the nostalgic success of the real show - it's somewhat of a low thing to do - to use clips that don't have anything to do with LND. One more comment: unfortunately, love does die..

  • People ask, "Why did ALW decide to make a necessarily needless sequal to POTO?" The answer can be found in another classic musical: Fiddler on the Roof. "If I were a rich man..."

  • And people wonder why they don't to sequels to musicals.... here's the reason why!

  • Such a crappy show that it needs to rely on the superior original to promote it. Yuck!

  • We recommend you watch what theatre critics from around the world have to say about Love Never Dies: youtube.com/watch?v=iaDEhylirbo

  • I NEED A BLOODY LOVE BOTTON PEOPLE!

  • I already got this couldn't hold back. andrew LLyod webber is the genious composer of plays/musicals this generation.

  • Standalone my ass. They're even using clips from the original Phantom to promote this crap.

  • @demeuredulac Clearly. People who are interested in the PotO are very likely to be interested in LND. It would be a bit odd if they didn't include references to PotO in promoting LND. In my opinion (and my father's, who hasn't seen PotO but came with me to see LND) it can stand alone very well.

  • Aaah, where musical meets fanfiction: good job, ALW - never did a man so sell out as badly as you did.

  • ...Hm. Loling at the Phantom's lack-of-mask & the recycled clips from the movie.

    Ooooh well.

  • @glasssilhouette that wasnt recycled clips from the movie, it is from the actual cast for LND. and phantom lacked the mask cas it was the first official promo ;)

  • @banoffiepiee No, some video bits around 0:15 or so are from songs in the original movie. Masquerade, Think of Me, and Notes, to name a few. Trust me.

And no matter why he didn't have the mask, it's still lolable. Maybe they shouldn't have made the promo before the mask.

No offense to LND, I mean, it's an alright musical with some great songs on its own, but even this promo shows how much they owe to the original.

  • I think it is ridiculous that they use images from another show and movie...

  • If this is official I feel like vomiting.

  • ummm... 0:16 was the masquerade scene in the Phantom of the Opera movie wasnt it?

  • @Evekinz910 yup it was :')

  • @Evekinz910 Nope.It wan't part of the Phantom of the Opera. In the Phantom he never used a fan and he was dressed in red with the skull mask and red fladora with a feather and cape. In this he wasn't.

  • @Evekinz910 yes, and a lot of it isn't from the real musical anyway.

  • @Evekinz910 Yes, it was. Obviously the most famous adaptation of the core story was ALW's musical, but the 2004 movie is also another major adaptation of it, especially since ALW was the producer of the movie and oversaw a great deal of the production. The Really Useful Group was involved in it too. So in a sense they are justified in including that bit.

  • Just got back form seeing it. It's AMAZING. You just have to appreciate it's completely different from the first one. I loved it though. :)

  • wow can't wait till this comes out on DVD

  • @Silverwolfstar15 wait...is it coming out on dvd? i didnt hear that? would it be the actual play just filmed on stage?

  • @Erynsvoice idk but it probably will. I mean da first one was so successful and no I thnk theyre gonna film it like they did the last Phantom Of The Opera, on sets with cameras and actors/actresses XD

  • @Silverwolfstar15 if they dont at first they definetly will soon they want peoplee to see it live and spend money on it first id imagine

  • @Erynsvoice I'd love that. I wish he would do that to the original Phantom like they did with Cats. I'd buy it in a second! Especially now that they are no longer doing the tour as of the end of this year. :(

  • I got the cd like a week and a half ago, and KI'm like deeply in love with it. :3

  • For real?! I'm the first and only person I know to get the soundtrack. I overheard someone talking about the new show last summer, but figured it would be a few more years before I would see the end result. I looked for the latest info... and there it was! Lol. Itunes is more behind then I am, apparently. Anyway, thanks! I'll have to order from their website or drive out there. :) They need to advertise this show better and tell us where to get stuff if we don't live in London!!!

  • You can only buy the dvd if you get it from the website, which means you have to have it shipped from London. There is a link where you are suppose to be able to buy it in America on itunes, but it doesn't work, since its only available in the London itunes store and you can't create a new account through it if you are from out of the country. Evil...I was mad, but I settled for the original cast recording.

  • @insomniasmoon

That's funny, bc my local Barnes and Nobel has the DVD set, and I am in America XD

  • @naryafaeraine thanks for mentioning that you can buy the cd at Barnes and Noble. I'm so excited, definitely going to get it.

  • @gelisatracy No problem, I bought mine there for $36, cd, dvd, and booklet set. I love the music, but I have to say I was a little disappointed with the booklet, I was expecting at least some photos, not just words....

  • mmmm, in love <3

  • Such a shame... The music is great, but the story makes my head hurt. :S

  • Whoa! All those clips from different Phantoms!

  • i love it! haha

  • It's just a DVD of some behind-the-scenes stuff. I wouldn't think they would release the whole show this early, right? :-)

  • o.0 There's a dvd?!

  • @RosesNightengales Yes, but it is not of the show, it's merely the making of LND, and interviews with the cast/creators.

  • I wish..its the soundtrack =/

  • The DVD came out?!
