Well, I'll get my macbook pro in December and I have some questions if you don't mind answering them :S

1. I saw the desktop is emtpy, and I've seen other videos where you have applicatons, do these applications have any cost from the istore? or you download them for free? is it difficult to download them?

2. I'm a management student, do I have to download the programs from istore? which programs does mac have when you buy one?

@loghen01 The iMacs were refreshed not too long ago. They're probably in mid cycle. I don't pay too much attention to them as much as I pay attention to their MacBook line. And DEFINITELY. PEOPLE HAVE BEEN VERRYYYYY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT APPLE LEFT THEIR 'Most popular mac' behind with the VERY outdated intel core 2 duo processor (even me). THOSE OF YOU WHO PURCHASED A 2009 MBP, YOU WERE FINE. :D But if you got a MBP in December, return it!!

Next time you get a new laptop and transfer all the data from the old one use Time Machine with an external hard drive and it'll be much quicker. Migration Assistant takes forever.

hey not to ask a dumb question but so are macs safer for internet and not getting any viruses? because i find a lot of people telling me this but is it true?And how do they do on games?I have many old games but i doubt they will play, these are the only reasons i don't buy a mac because I'm not sure.

@volderock I have been using Macs since 1984 and have never got a virus. Since the intro of OS X gaming on the macs has improved greatly, With the recent intro of steam for the mac you can now buy all the popular PC games and play them on a mac.

@volderock to somewhat reiterate. Macs don't get virus. I have never heard of any mac owner ever getting any viruses ever. But if you do have some old games they won't play on the mac because they are probably only made for pc.  But definitely what volderock said, they are streamlining a lot of games now to work for both with one disc.
