Pro tip take the Necromage perk, it says that all your spells work better on undead, but since you are undead it effects all your enchantmens, active effects and spells, it's pure awsomenes.

Atronach Stone

Perks: Atronach (Alteration), Necromage (Restoration).

Extra: Destruction, illusion, one handed, sneak, conjuration, alchemy.

Mages deal no harm. Kill warrior off from afar or charm them. There is no real sneaky enemies. In between, hide in the shadows, or enter combat with dual bound swords and alteration buffs.

Necromage buffs effects "against" undead. If you are a vampire, you count. Everything that is affecting you (other then armour points) is boosted 50%.

if you go in the destruction part of your skills one of the perks allows novice spells to be cast at half the magika so with Vampiric drain it would only cost 7.5 points per second to cast...

Personally, I think that vampirism should be sooo much better than it is now. I'd like Bethesda to make a patch, DLC that makes it an ADVANTAGE being a vampire, rather than a annoyance. Hell, a skill tree would be good as well. For example, a perk that makes Frostbite Spiders passive, like they are to hostile vampires, and to control/command them, that would be even better, anyone else think that's a good idea?

Skyrim is so fucking easy it's pathetic. You don't need any "build". Get your alchemy, enchant and smithing to level 100 and you don't need anything else. Make legendary enchanted weps and armor and you can kill anything in 2 hits. I killed Alduin in 2 hits and sold this garbage. 10/10 my ass.

guys, you can feed on your teammate if you have one, just order them into bed, they will sleep and then bring up the pickpocket/feed. Feed off of them, lvl 4 vampire reduced to lvl 1. Good for towns if you can find a cot or bed.

Honestly, I think being a vampire is just a gimmick that offers no real advantage. All the advantages you gain are countered, if not outweighed, by disadvantages. That being said, I think being a vampire is more fun if you like to role play. I never thought of making a class based solely around being a vampire, I'll have to try that.

@NoNameC68 Na dude, it gives you a serious advantage. if you are a thief, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. you can manage and manipulate it to your advantage too. I took the lord stone and I'm a dark elf, plus I have fire resist gear, so it's a non-issue. and since I'm completely undetectable when muffled, invisible and sneaking, none of it is an issue. it's all bonuses. just have to break in somewhere and feed on occasion.

@SoCalAries Very true. It's definitely possible to counter the cons and build upon the pros of being a vampire. However, anyone who has the ability of countering the cons could easily just make an even better non-vampire. Honestly, I'm not criticizing vampirism at all though. If you're able to take advantage of the pros, then I suppose it can be more advantageous to become one. Regardless, I like playing as a vampire simply for the fun of it.

@NoNameC68 No, you cannot make an even-better non-vampire if you're going for stealth. The illusion and sneak boosts are unheard of. you cannot find a better bonus for a stealthy character. Admittedly it becomes more of a hassle than a boon if you don't make use of both or either of those skills. However, I have both at 100 and I rarely if ever even bother feeding. I cannot be caught by guards unless I allow it. I enjoy the immersion elements as well

@NoNameC68 if you're getting hit with ice, wait a few days to bulk up on resist if u need to. if you're gonna go fight something with fire, go feed. and wait til night before charging into battle. really it's only an issue if you find it unmanageable, in which case you're just bad and need to l2p and plan ahead by quicksaving often and shit, to avoid any stupid problems from screwing you out of play time. no offense, just saying. the sneak and illusion boosts are OP

@NoNameC68 When you get the necromage perk in the restoration tree it makes all spells more powerful against the undead. When you are a vampire you are flagged as undead. So every single enchantment or magic effect on your character is increased by 25%. With this it allows you to almost chain cast shouts with the Talos necklace and the talos blessing. that alone makes being a vampire beneficial to every class. Check it out i don't know why this isn't known by everyone, its amazing.

@NoNameC68 Only found being a vampire useful for getting night eye without being a Khajiit, but it killed my play style; I walk everywhere in the game and hit dungeons on the way to larger quests in order to just level ma character and find random shit. Dragons would eat ma ass durin the day cuz of the no regen penalty. vampires are kinda lame in this game, but as u said for roleplay purposes it can be kinda fun, for a few hours

@PhillyAssassinX Well, as many people have pointed out, it really depends on playstyle and preference. If you don't mind sacrificing your ability to fight during the day, taking time to feed when needed, compensating for the fire weakness, vampire can be quite beneficial, provided you also take advantage of the spells.

I enjoy playing a vampire character, but I don't take advantage of everything so it's just for added challenge and appeal.

Just put fire and ice defense on heavy armor, wield a bow and maybe sword and shield, and you're huh... well, okay, maybe you can make a dragon slaying class, but it's just a sub class to warrior and depends on armor you wear.

Paladin - Two handed (or one handed if you prefer) and restoration (Nord)

Perks - look at mage and barbarian build

@timeforgrenade For the priest, How about Breton? And for the paladin definitely an Imperial. Their bonus in the the school of restoration is great. And because it is a very defensive class, their voice of the emperor power gives them time to heal up and fight, or run and heal. What do you think?

@XDGreenFox Yeah I agree the imperial is a great option for paladin. Priest could go either way really, Breton's are good at magical stuff but I prefer the high elf's appearance (and really if you invest in the right perks race isn't a huge difference between the two) :D
