wow you guys are all soooo wise with money, I'm wondering how many of you are millionaires... Wait let me guess all of you after I type this are! HAHA!
This is kind of funny for me to watch... I work at a car dealer in the parts dept. and I organize a Lotto pool between Parts & Service. Every friday 8 - 10 of us play.
Those people have money to buy personalities now...Good God man.... That interview was tough to sit through....Be happy...you just won the lottery...LOL...
Yea life stays the same but in a different way it's fun the first year but after that you find yourself just sitting around in the kitchen eating out of boredom I spend alot of time just watching old bonanza episodes how stupid is that I go out to job sites and work with some close friends occasionally I can't change who I am, my neighbors hate me because they feel like my buddies don't fit in they're neighborhood when they come out, you think every stranger that looks at you knows "creepy"
Its nice to see awesome people win the lottery! I know they didnt get quite a million but still that money is nice to have and its kinda cool to see how they go on with their lives and dont make such a big deal about it! Its good for all of them but esp the young family! Id stay in my apartment and do normal things too if i won the money :)
That is a Canadian lottery 649 ticket and in Canada you get to keep every penny of the winnings as there is no tax applied. So they each won $ 880 000
now u can check ur lotto 649 tickets right from your iPhone, iPod or iPad by using "Z-Lotto649"...it works perfect and it will inform u right after the draw...after checking it on ur ph...whenever u have time u can do double check....
@mapnxyaha2k10 they don't want to end world hunger when their purpose is to depopulate... there are simply more humans than resources on Earth and this can't go on much longer
$900,000 each. Not sure what the tax is like in Canada but that sure is a nice figure. With some brains and smart planning you could really set your future up comfortably, but definitely not enough to retire on. I would only retire on $5,000,000+.
22 mil divided by 25 after taxes isn't retirement money. After taxes I figure a half mil each. But with good investments and not going nuts on a buying spree it could grow into retirement money in 10 years
"ya gotta get your hands dirty to appreciate life"- As a fellow auto mechanic trying to depart from the industry... I so, full heartedly have to agree. I have a entirely different look at life after working 5 years as a master tech in this industry
less than a million... isn't something to change your life over... You can buy a nice house, a decent car (and not a house on wheels...)... and go on a vacation putting the rest in a bank...
I know that if I win the lottery, I would consult with a financial advisor before splurging too much. To get tax write off, would be mostly to donate to my church, homeless shelters and education funds to help the poor get a higher education to make their lives better. I would have some fun too, but limit my spending to a minimum. My bills would be paid off, along with pass due creditors and chop off all of my credit cards. I just hope and pray that it may happen to me next?
@TheSaechao i would quit straight away, its because you obviously will go and get your life supply of dildo's and vibrators, you don't spend it all do you, you can easy invest 500k into something and go on a shopping spree with the other 400/500k, and when u invest that 500k you will obviously get more back.
i'd be pretty happy splitting the $50 million lotto max @ work right now... 22 of us, $50 mill, about $2 mill each, keep it all in the bank, at worst get maybe 3%/year, just over $60,000/yr.... whatever you don't spend, compounds each year.... yes, i could retire... but i would have to work @ something to keep my sanity, i know that now after being laid off all last year :P
too bad ppl who win like these ppl...waste the money on shitty things...they have no imagination..like maybe atleast open up a hospital for the poor in poor countries ....and rest of the money u can dream big ...new cars and mansion..it balances out..everything knowin u did good for the poor and now u livin ur dream..
@theengold Don't be ridiculous! What's the sense of winning the lotto if you can't buy what you want? That doesn't put you in debt! If someone goes into debt and ends up WORSE off than before they won then they're an idiot! How the hell would you get into debt unless you borrowed money or used credit? Pay cash for everything-then if you're dumb enough to get into trouble you'd have assets to sell off.
@theengold Buy 1 Ferrari-don't buy 20 plus 50 for all your friends! Buy 1 house, buy 1 Rolex, buy 1 diamond necklace, etc. etc.
Don't cheat yourself out of the luxuries winning all that money can buy! What's the sense of living he way you've always lived? If that's the case, what's the sense of winning? These idiots who end up in debt buy like 20 MANSIONS & want to staff all of them, go on expensive trips and pay THOUSANDS on hotels rooms, etc.-THAT'S stupid-buy something real and tangible!
@patsaxon I agree with you & not with the person who said that thoughts like yours are the reason winners get into debt. What's the sense of winning if you can't splurge a little? People end up in debt by spending money on stupid things & going totally crazy. You have folks who'll buy 10 $300,000 cars instead of 10 houses that will appreciate in value, or throw money away on tons of lavish parties or trips instead of something tangible like gold or real estate-but yeah, of course treat yourself!
@viera1963 In case anyone says I contradicted myself about the houses (at first I said buy just ONE and then I said buy TEN) I think someone should buy just one or two houses but it's better to buy 10 $350,000 houses then 10 $350,000 cars-that's the point I'm trying to make.
Some lotto winners just throw money away on stupid things instead of tangible items that they can sell if push comes to shove. Anyone who ends up WORSE off after a win should be shot-how dumb can you be???!!!
That $880k before taxes. So at a tax rate of 30%. Each person receives about $600k. Sounds like a lot of money (which it is) but you can't retire on that. Hopefully these folks will be smart about their money.
I Dont under stand deadcell whats so dangeous about working the same job after winning the lottery its not like you will be walking around with a million buck in your pocket.
It's extemely dangeous working at the same job after you win the lotto's jackpot.. you have to worry about envious co-workers all day long not knowing if one of them is going to kill you or not... I would love to work after i hit the lotto, but i would work for myself and not for someone else. I was thinking about starting a film production company if God ever blessed me to win.
You have a really, really good point---I honestly would move out West or something and if I worked it would be in a totally different place without saying much about my "retirement" money.
I'm sorry but working a manual day job after winning millions of dollars is ASSININE. Of all things we as humans are limited by in life is TIME. If you don't have to work a job, DON'T. Go do something more worthwhile with your pathetic life.
If 25 ppl win 22 million, that's not millions of dollars, that's a little less than 1 million each. Its a nice retirement, but I wouldn't quit my day job.
