okey, now look, half-life 2 use an source sdk ant valve creators maybe don't create this on gmod, and then they create with half-life. But! look! then u download gmod, look at the gmod9/10/11/12 versions folder, and look hl folder. U see hl2 files is not all, it just CFG, Materials, Models, recource, scripts and sounds

Before 10 dolla Gmod 10. it can't run independently it, still needs the half life 2 engine, or more commonly known as the source engine, meaning you need any source game, doesn't have to be half - life 2 to be specific. it can be any source game, it did how ever start exclusively with half life 2.

Anyone who hasn't downloaded Fortress Forever is missing out! A lot has changed since the release of FF and although we're a relatively small community, more and more people are playing every day! No longer do you need to buy a HL2 game to play FF since the Source SDK Base required to play FF comes with TF2 for FREE! So go download TF2 if you don't have a HL2 game(such as HL2DM, CS:S, DOD:S) and head over to the Fortress Forever website and check this game out!
