  • I am one of many that did cancel Netflix(wasn't utilizing anyways) and came close to dropping BofA if not for them withdrawing their monthly charge.

  • Netflix lost 1 million customers @$10. month (-10,000,000) but still have over 20 million paying $6 more a month (+120,000,000) and can layoff 5% of their workers, what are they complaining about, their income went up $1billion a year?

  • "...if your spouse is cheating, what do you do? You request a divorce" Nice word usage here. lol Great commentary, thanks.

  • Netflix had that split plan for atleast 10 years. Because Netflix was suppose to be for online internet movies and QUIXTER suppose to be mail order. They just didn't make it.

  • Looks like blockbuster will be back in business.

  • @DrewOnCue Blockbuster came back because of 49 cents sundays.

  • True. Venture capitalists can be a pain in the ass. As long as you have the control with minimal one partner if necessary, the business is in your hands. Once venture capitalists come in, their goal is to maximize money and bail. Not bad, but your hard work is not recognized.

  • @TheAstonMartian have you delt with them before

  • Same damn thing happened to the social media website digg.com when they completely redesigned their site...

The place is a ghost town now....

See it over and over...biggest mistake ever...

Last time I heard - they all went to reddit.com....the competing service...

  • Absolutely right. Now they have had to eat crow, announcing they will scrap their plans for Quixter, their ill-conceived spinoff. What are these people smoking? Thank you, MJ, for your clear-headed analysis. Love your book and your work. Keep them coming!

  • Good to see another video from you again.

  • Hi MJ, Great topic! Lets say the firm (like Netflix of BofA) has serious margin problems, and the firm needs to keep margins. So a better solution is to state and/or present the customer is #1, by maybe increasing services/products, and tacking on the $5? I'm on your side, but trying to think of a better way, not pissing off the customer and staying in business.

  • After reading your book (and the 22 immutable laws of marketing), and see the debacle unfold in the news.. I immediately saw some of the big basic mistakes they made

  • Sup MJ
