Why does the 2nd magnifying glass is not horizontally (as the others are) placed but a little twisted (folded). Is there any reason for that? Does it distort (change) picture quality?

@pegateuncharli Si a mi me paso lo mismo, pero puede depender de la capacidad del lente de la lupa, y la distancia entre las lentes en la base y la distancia del proyector y la pared... eso afecta al enfoque y el tamaño ya que dependen uno de otro.

Aleja el proyector de la pared y veras como se hace mas grande la imagen al mismo tiempo que se desenfoca... luego que este del tamaño que desees cambia la distancia entre los lentes hasta que logres el enfoque correcto...

my daughter is making this for a science project.  I was wondering what the distance is between each piece of wood and what strength magnifying glass did you use. what kind of light bulb did you use? i looked at your page, but did not find these answers.

i"m not sure, but i think the distance between each piece of wood depends on the distance of the wall you are going to project onto. so what i would sugjest is that you, lik him. make moveable pieces of woods. i think he used regular magnifying glasses, standard stuff.

I used SUNLIGHT reflected from the compound outside my house wt ordinary mirrors!Instead of using ELECTRICITY & expensive PROJECTOR BULBS also my father never allowed me playing with electricity!There were plenty of sunshine in that part of the world esp. in summer and only I had to adjust the mirror on regular intervals as the sun apparently drifted away in time & the beam moved away from projector. This effort is still justified being safe(NOT ELECTROCUTED NO BILLS).Harnessing free SUNLIGHT!

Nice!Pls note that SLIDE FILM HOLDER is not parallel to LENS and hence shows a half blurred picture on screen!Ofcourse you can adjust seeing the picture sharpness on screen. Making SLIDE PROJECTOR was my childhood hobby too using only a single LENS and FILM HOLDER cut from garbage shoe boxes!I have noted a fine PICTURE quality achieved when FILM is a bit away from the LENS FOCAL POINT otherwise it projects even film scratches.Pls mention the positions of convex & concave Lenses you used here.

hi! ur projector is really interesting! i'm wondering how did u make the plastic slides... for example the first slide, did u print them using a normal printer? cos if the quality of printing is not good it wont look good when magnified, right?

he used a 50watt light

and as for the the lenses you can use like any magnifing glass like classic ones the detective use he took the glass out the the magnifier at 4:58 he took out 3 lenses from the glasses.
