  • How the hell did I come here by googling :

"I Hate It When (A Llama Named Carl Stabs Me 37 Times And Eats My Hands.)"

  • this estella was pretty, the more recent 1 is UGLY!

  • We watched it in English class but the teacher cut Estella parts :o

  • @kardsh Why ?

  • @agora1955 couse the didnt mention estella in the book i really dont know why

  • @kardsh That is very odd, as there is NO story without Estella.

  • @agora1955 i should watch it again !

  • @kardsh You should READ the book for yourself. OK ?

  • @agora1955 i'm thinking of reading it when i have some time

  • @kardsh Oh well, if you are contemplating doing what just might be the result

of your future ideas, then you might get around to it in about NEVER !!

  • Hi! Today is January 30th,2012. I want to wish Jean Simmons a very Happy Birthday today. I know she is dead. But, she was a great actress. She played the young estelle in this version. She also played in the remake of Dark Shadows. She was mrs. collins, Barnabas's sister.Have you heard? Johnny Depp is supposed to play Barnabas in the new reamake? And i have the orginal music box from the 6o's Dark Shadows.I love that box to death. God knows how much my husband paid for it, or where he got it.

  • how the hell did i end up here when my search was for "I Hate It When A Llama Named Carl Stabs Me 37 Times And Eats My Hands."?

  • I think that the new version with Douglas Booth is more interesting... Thumbs up if u agree

  • And they always start by asking questions.

  • Who am I that I should be kind? the most evil question in english literature

  • 23:05

do you know what i touch here?

Pip: your breast... lol i wish he had said that xD

  • 480 but no colour LOL

  • I GOT THE BOOK TO READ AS HOMEWORK... SCREW THE BOOK!

  • @CQAS5 I hope you'll mature and enjoy the book in your later years as many adults have. Us teenagers have got to stop eating "fast food" easily digestible books and start enjoying the masters.

  • i could watch this movie a1000 times!!! leakedmovies . biz

  • Minute 30 for the fight of the kids

  • What larks!

  • I saw this film when I was younger. Quite scary, convicts, the old house. The lovely Estelle took away my fears.

  • finally!!!

  • thanks for the upload. True masterpiece indeed

  • The young estella looks so much like Vivien Leigh..

  • hahahaha keep still you little devil or ill cut your throat!

  • She's so much older than Pip-rather a mean sister but I suppose one had to be tough in those days.

  • Thanks for uploading. This is the best version imo of Dicken's classic "Great Expectations". :)

  • Great film, but WTF ending

  • I love this film because it begins on the Thames marshes near to where I live, the grave yard and black smith's cottage are based on places that still exist.

Dickens lived I the area also, and often walked on the marsh.

  • This book has such a WTF ending

  • i love this film..i also love Little Women 1933...will you be uploading that one soon?

  • как жаль что я не знаю англ.языка, но всё было понятно о чем идет речь. спасибо, мне понравилось

  • They don't come much better than such classics, thoroughly superb.

  • @verynicegirl178

    Wooooo!!! Same here :)

  • pas en français ya t-il aucun film traduit

  • Hi Miss Hall its SuperACJM

Like this to get a teacher in my school to see it

Hi Miss Hall aka JAH on time table

Im one of the pupils in your C - Band Class at school!!

  • Charles Dickens really did know how to move the heart, I would not expect less from a victorian south Londoner

  • Thank you so much for posting this movie. It too is one of my all time favorites! It mimics the book almost exactly. If you havent read the book by Dickens please do so! What larks!

  • @SergeantGooseEgg. You really are a goose mate, maybe one day your balls will drop

  • when i was young, i watched a b/w movie of the same story. i remember at the end, she told him ' you may kiss me, if you like'. It is not how it ends in this version. Who know which version I watched?

  • i got one copy of this movie 11 years ago when i was in china.

  • it seems the dvd of this film is pretty hard to get if you're in the US. if you go to amazon [dot] co [dot] uk you can pick it up for about 4 bucks (plus $3 shipping to the US) from their affiliated sellers.

  • BDSM 19th century style

  • come along, boy!

  • Pip.

    Estella

    Miss Havisham

    Little Joe

    Hoss

    Adam

  • Fabulous!!!!!!!! Thank you.

  • thanks

  • So happy to find this here...

  • Is this exactly like the book?

  • They don't make films like this anymore, the acting and atmosphere is superb. I've just seen the remake of Brighton Rock and its not a scratch on the original.

  • Great book and movie!

  • @SergeantGooseEgg Dude grow the fuck up -_-

  • @SergeantGooseEgg grow up

  • thnx so much, jean looks so adorable *__*

  • This is my mum's favourite version of Great Expectaions

  • @SergeantGoose as if 99 percent of today's movies don't stink a million times worse than this movie, or dickens.

  • thanks for showing; the dvd of this movie is waaay too expensive----if dvd sellers don't know enough to sell their movies for cheap than they deserve to lose busines to youtube....it's been over 20 years since i saw this movie last----but i wouldn't pay a lot to see it again....GLAD TO SEE IT HERE FOR FREE.

  • Thanks a lot for uploading this movie I have been searching for it since 2002.

  • This is an Excellent movie. It shows class distinction, great acting by John Mills & Valerie Hobson and all. A Great Family movie for young adults.

  • This is a GREAT movie and thanks for putting it up. Always worth watching.

  • Awesome this helped me a lot in my literature lessons

  • Best version and the one I grew up watching :)

  • If you like this film, I'd recommend that you see the movies "The Apartment" with Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, and "Captain Blood" starring Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland. Those movies are completely different from each other and this one, and yet, there is some feeling of hope triumphing over despair that ties all three of them together.

  • @alienspectre Anybody who remembers and recommends The Apartment can do no wrong in my book. I know that there was a great deal of junk produced back in the B&W days but sometimes they transcended and The Apartment was one of those occasions. What I wouldn't give to see it for the first time again.

  • @deriter64

As Jack Lemmon's character, C.C. "Bud" Baxter says, "It's a must!"

  • David Lean rules

  • the end is certainly very nice but the original story only implies it. it is not so clear. its an open end. however we all wish for this end :)

  • @sathmini I agree. I like this ending much more than the books.

  • 1:24:08 ftw

  • So there we have it I watched the entire film it was brilliant

  • Thank you so much for posting this wonderful film. One of my all time favourites. But it is Abel Magwitch that 'steals' the book and the film as well.Film making at it's best

    Great!

  • Jean Simmons! Nough said.

  • So gay and ugly

  • Excellent.

  • Thought Young Pip looked like Haley Joel Osment... the Young lad who "see's dead people" in the sixth sense.

  • Hey guys, it's so great to hear that you enjoy this film, and some of you enjoy Young Pip's performance. Anthony Wager, who plays Young Pip, is my great uncle (my nan's brother). My name is Matt Saye, and I made this website w/ info only FAMILY would have known before it was published. My name is @ the bottom of the site just so you can verify what I'm saying. Check it out to see what happened to Tony after this film - anthonywager.blogspot.com/

  • a top 5 greatest British film, thx so much for bothering to upload what many would dismiss as silly old stuff.
