I want to be James Bond Stockdale when I grow up.

I have been a student of military history for over fifty years. In all that time I've read and heard the stories of genuine heroes, many that have never been heard of or who have been long forgotten. No hero, in my opinion, shines brighter than Adm. Stockdale. I literally shiver with pride just knowing I come from the same country as this man.
