"Hung [sic] them for stealing" - yes, chidlren over 14 could be hanged for theft in England, for instance, but since the age of adulthood and what was meant by it was different then, a "child" would have been anyone younger than 14 - and they were not executed.

You're not giving me evidence, you're just stating facts and statistics that are extremely dubious. Where do you get this from? Where is your source? Even if what you say is true, and I am not convinced, then you don't give any facts about children being hanged, and the fact that you might be seen as ungodly did not make church compulsory (i.e. under the law), and 577 priests out of thousands is not "most". Before then, the church "probably" turned a blind eye - in other words, you're guessing.
