@TeaNCrumpets25 I had a new Daytona turbo in '84 and I currently have an '84 TurboZ and never really had any complaints as far as electrical problems though I have heard some stories of others having some issues. Overall I love the car and its a real blast to drive to this day.
@TeaNCrumpets25 An easy mod for this car is a boost controller. You can up the WOT boost from 7psi to 12psi with no further mods. You can go as high as 16psi with larger injectors. Any higher and the internals can't take it. I run mine at 12psi. Some later models are easier to mod due to the addition of a forged crankshaft and better electronics.
Really nice TurboZ, I had an "84 Daytona turbo when they first came out and I have a black 84TurboZ' now. Music sucks, sorry. I think an audio commentary about the car, how you aquired it etc. would have been more interesting perhaps.
Don't care at all for the music, but I'm a 55 year old grandma, can't be expected to.
Bought a black, black leather interior, 1984 Dodge Daytona TurboZ in 1985. My husband quit trying to get me to trade it for something more appropriate about 9 years ago when he took the car in for some work and the mechanics fell all over themselves, drooling over it. I love my car, I've kept it up, and now my husband drives it most of the time. Fine vehicle. Fine and fast. Stick shift, the best.
I have this exact car for sale! It does not drive like an 80's car!! Car is intact!! Contact me and buy it. In Washington! Love the Vid! Exactly like my car! Make it yours
Thanks for this video. I had a silver Dodge Daytona Turbo (Not a "Z") and it got me through high school and part of college. My favorite parts were the turbo gauge and the seat pump for lumbar support that I couldn't use because I didn't have the part you squeeze.
OMG its a fly whit cam around your car

Love the car, too bad the 84 is the worst year to have because the electronics are terrible. If you are into modding them its a nightmare.

@pmafterdark As far as a driver it wasnt bad, but to modify them it was a pain because of the early wiring.

Does this 1984 Dodge Daytona make a chime sound or a buzz sound when you start it up without your seatbelt on?
