I had to go to 1080p to look for that. You can see it, but with everything happening so fast and keeping macro going, that was quite impressive.

Seeing a moving DT or Obs is one thing, but the burrow movement is way harder.

@dar482 i agree, i think it should be brought in line with cloak - actually i think cloak should just be made less visible to bring it in-line with burrow, takes the piss that observers are basically not even invisible

@iliketha Burrows supposed to look less visible because its worse, they cant attack while burrowed. Even if cloak is visible it cant be attacked unless there's obs. Its balanced well id say

@AbduCola i see where you're coming from but infestors can actually spawn infested terrans whilst burrowed, so it's not entirely true - especially given the fact that they have a greater damage potential than say a dt or ghost (excluding the use of nukes) - 4 infestors with full energy can spawn enough infested terrans to snipe a hive in seconds, certainly faster than 4 DTs, and with the infestors you can lift them straight back out so you're safe from reprisal

this is a perfect example of why destiny is so good. its not that he's got sick micro and solid control of his builds, but he reads the other players actions before they happen. yes, he saw (which i did not) the roaches moving out while burrowed, but it was the fact that he thought to look for them to do so. to be a good player, its not just about thinking through your build and movement, but the other player as well.

@santeenl yeah all cloaked units have some form of giving off their position without detection, for burrowed units you see something like dirt flying into the air, for DTs you can see them shimmer a little, for banshees you can see them shimmer too, and they all have that sort of tell that shows them off. I think that's why some prefer to use the lower quality settings on starcraft because it's more obvious on lower graphic settings :P.

Brood Lords are a waste of gas in zvz. Like Destiny said, zvz is all about gas economizing. The fact is BLs do very little damage in zvz for several reasons. Firstly, they're too slow. Zerg bases are spread out and huge. Having speed ultras makes more sense since they get a speed bonus on enemy creep. Secondly, they get wrecked by units that are half their cost (corruptors) and which require less tech.

Going BL is like throwing away your gas. Also, Idra never goes BL in zvz.
