I think that this video misses the presentation's point. The people shown leaving Rory Vaden's presentation are taking the stairs instead of the escalator, yes. But they are taking the stairs down, the stairs that are hardly any more effort than the escalator. Show me people leaving the presentation huffing their way up a flight of stairs instead of riding the escalator and then I will believe that the audience was motivated.
