  • OMG this is so my scotty dog too! His name is Brutus.. He is just as stubborn.. LOL!

  • In the beginning he throws himself on his back, showing that you are dominating him, probably because you were growling at him like that, haha

  • the guy is really funny

  • LOL at 0:11 "Whatever dude, I'm rolling in the grass."

  • I don't think the comment was meant seriously in a derogatory manner. I've seen my Scottie friend, Thistle do some extraordinarily stupid things but even geniuses burn their bacon once in a while. Scotties are known to be brave but from what I've seen it's not bravery but a lack of consideration for danger. They just go. Thistle ran down the side of an eight foot tall 75 degree cliff and realized at the last possible second that it was a bad idea because now, instead of getting a drink, she was

  • lol - mine does his own thing too! just looks at me like i'm crazy or ignores me altogether :)

  • my scotty is stubborn like that too, but he's the most intelligent dog I've ever had.

  • I am owned by 2 scottish terriers. And YES they are stubborn (specially the female) but they are really smart. They are easy to train if you accept the fact that they will not obey if a squirrel, cat or anything small goes running by. But after they chase or kill the intruder, they are quite obedient :) I also have a mix dog who is very smart too :)

  • Hahaha! Omg, yes! My Ralphie boy goes "deaf", but you know he is listening cause you say his name and his ear twitches- he just has very selective hearing. And he never does what you want him to, ever, like show off how he likes to kill his ducky and he just sits there and looks at you as if YOU are crazy. I love Scotties. So much personality! =) Angus is a cutie pie.

  • Who said Scottish Terriers are stupid? They are probably one of the smartest dogs ever, not failing to mention that they are superior fighters if attacked.

  • Scotties are stubborn but SMART dogs! They're very easy to train. Don't confuse a stubborn dog for a stupid dog.

  • Scotties will only do what is convenient for them. It's not about making it do what you want it to do, it's about convincing what you want it to do will actually be beneficial for them... only to find out it's not because you forgot to bring food and will hold a grudge against you for a whole 5 minutes.

  • scottish terriers may be stubborn but i am sure as shit they arent stupid. i have two, and they are probably smarter than you. its not that the dog is stupid, its the owner who culdnt do their job properly. good day, wanker. : )

  • I don't usually reply to these, but you're an obvious exception. I can call my dog stupid if I please. He's never passed any tests. He cannot read, write, or speak intelligibly . He, like yourself, has eaten his own feces on more than one occasion.

There's something terribly ironic in your spelling-and-grammatical-error-ridden post insinuating that I am dumber than my stupid dog. He is happy, well-fed, and has a well-maintained grass yard to run around in.

    You would be so lucky.

  • @seedyplayer lmfao, touche dude, lmfao

  • i have a puppy named angus too!

only he's a puggle...and also stubborn and not exactly what i'd call "smart"

  • I wanted a Scottish Terrier damn it.

They are so cute. I wanted one because of Lady and the Tramp. Soo cuteeee.

I got a German Shepherd which is still cute.

  • beautiful dog....but yeah scottish terriers are never stupid. I have one myself...they just test us. Your scottie is probably saying "omg look at him run around...what does he expect me to do, chase him..yeah right im comfortable in my space..and doing what I want"! lol

  • LMFAO!!! Too true! I had one growing up and he would 'walk himself' and a neighbor actually caught him looking both ways before he crossed the street! (OMG!!! I'm tearing up just THINKING about him and he passed on 6 YEARS ago!!!)

  • Scotties are stubborn, but they are *never* stupid. I had a scottie named Brownie? She could find tennisballs, that were very well hidden. And by hidden I mean half or almost fully buried under a hedge!

  • haha My scootie is calleds Angus too, and he rolls over quite ofetn when you approach him. Big Softy!

  • hahahah tooo cute!

  • my scottie is named Angus too!!!

  • Whenever I want to get my scottie on tape he doesnt do what I want him to...its like they know we are filming them...

  • 1:17 - 1:23 The Scottish Terriers primary means of making you completely adore them - head cocking

  • Adorable. I can tell you love Angus very much! Thanks for sharing your videos with the world. We love it!

  • Scotties may be stubborn but they're not stupid. I've got one and hes the coolest fucking thing in the world. Mine listens to me. Maybe you should try being less of a dick.

  • how much do they cost?

  • scotties are naturally stubborn.

  • Does THAT bring back memories! My late Roddy was whip smart...I leash trained him and he was a delight on the lead. But let him off the lead and he was his own dog! I miss that old bug...

  • Whenever I try to call my Scotties they just look at me and go to someone else in the room. Of course maybe I didn't train them properly.

  • Scotties are definately NOT stupid! Next time get a ball or a treat and he'll consider doing what you want.

  • aww man not stupid. Let us not mistake what scottish terriers were breed for. Independent thinking and working away from owner's and their commands.

  • I agree. These dogs were MENT to be independent. But, should he ever think something is threatening you, he'll be just as protective as a large dog. Scotties are very loyal to their family, and EXTREMELY intelligent. It's all in the way you train/treat them. Please don't call him stupid. I think he's cute.

  • we are on our 4th scottie now and where delighted how the breed was described at the last westminster show: "good for people who do not mind that the dog believes and is demonstration that he is superior to his owner" lol - we feel your pain

  • I heard that too - so very true! My Scotty "allows" me to be the alpha of the house, as long as there is someone "beneath" him. While this is my 1st, now I cannot imagine life without a Scotty.

  • i know how you feel wit your dog. look at my vid. of my dog

  • cute
