  • Thanks this hasbeen added to our playlists, thanks....

  • Sad but lovely!

  • You are tuned to a beautiful channel and I found this so beautiful. There was a time long ago when it would have helped me go on and I am sure it will help many who are in a place like I used to be. Thank you

  • Hello :) Thank you for such a beautiful comment. I understand completely and indeed, feel I could only write and post this poem, as I am on the other side of that 'place' too now. I appreciate you stopping by. With kind wishes, Sunbeam :)

  • Very emotional & simply Superb

    Sunbeam :)

  • It's beautiful.

  • Thank you!! :)

  • i love it

  • Thank you sir - I hope you are having a good week :)

  • Another amazing piece of work.

Your imagery was amazing and so inspiring. I love how you captured the innocence of a pure heart with young children. Thats very touching and emotional. Very beautiful poem.

    One of my favourites.

  • Hi Chuck :) I am honoured you like this one. It was quite emotional to write as it flew in to me. Thanks for listening :)

    Sunbeam :)

  • Very nice Jill. It makes me think of the dependence we have on our mums, and how some of us yearn for that support our entire lives, but that at some point it's not possible anymore. Where are we without our moms? What a huge void to fill. Is there be any larger void to fill in our entire lives? :)

  • Hi :) I think that sooner or later we have to become our own parents and that happens differently for each person, if they recognise it at all!....Ultimately, only we can fill anything we perceive as a void in our lives - no other person can. Just my opinion of course!! :)

  • Wow! That is a progressive concept for someone like myself, but it makes perfect sense and something for me to think about and work toward. Thank you once again for some valuable insight. :)

  • So touching!

    Danny

  • Thank you!! :)

  • I like the way that you have expressed yourself in this video poem. Wonderful usage of photos of the child - and yourself. I feel that you have an innate ability to pour forth your talents through this format. It will be interesting to watch your future pieces. I hope that your audience grows over time and that your movies touch the lives of many people.

  • Hello again :)TY for such a kind comment...I am working on getting my poems published - that way I can touch more hearts, I hope :)

    Thank you for watching :)

  • This made me cry. :) beautiful. My mom is a single parent and I remember saying these types of things to her whenever things wouldn't work out just as planned. 5 stars. lovely

  • MahinaSinger: Hello again :) Your comment is so very touching and wonderful feedback for me. Thank you.

I feel this poem was born out of my own experiences growing up and since I myself became a mum. It was very healing to write somehow and I am just delighted seeing it touches others too. Thank you so much for your support and comment!!

    Sunbeam :)

  • This is very beautiful ! You sure write from your heart ! 5 stars

  • Cliffbrock: Hello again :) TY very much - yes I do! Really appreciate your stopping by! Sunbeam :)

  • What strikes me most is the idea of a child feeling some need to return the loving kindness her mother has shown in a time of crisis, an awareness that they are connected. This is the essence of humanity in a nutshell.

  • Hello again :) TY for such a thoughtful and sensitive comment. I hope you are doing well! Sunbeam :)

  • This is lovely and rather melancholy.

I hope you don't mind. But I wanted to post one of my videos as a response. favourated anyhow :o)

  • Hello :) Thank you. I didnt think your poem related to this one so removed it as a video response - but thank you for favouriting this poem. All the best. Sunbeam :)

  • quelle magnifique vidéo un vrai plaisir kisssssss

  • excellent!

  • lelouchemile: Thank you so much!! Sunbeam :)

    Hugs

    Karen

  • Hi Karen :) Am so glad you liked this. Yes - being a mum and still being human about our own sorrows is a delicate balancing act. TY so much for watching and commenting. Sunbeam :)

  • This is so lovely...tnx for great poem! :)

  • Hello :) Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to comment! Sunbeam :)

  • hey just wanted to say great poem i loved it xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Hello :) Thank you so much for stopping by here. I am so glad you enjoyed this poem!! With best wishes, Sunbeam :)

  • WOW!! This poem is very sad. It seems like the parent was having a breakdown which forced the child to grow up too soon and worry about mummy. Children shouldn't worry about anything. Very heart-felt!

    Shane

  • Hi Shane :) Great to see you! I am off to Ontario on Thursday...so exciting!! I thought about your snowy video! Luckily I guess it wont be like the next few weeks :)

Yes on the poem - it is sad in that way. My original title for this was 'old too soon'. Children shouldnt have to worry about such things - but life is often very REAL and situations not those Happy Ever Afters etc. This poem was cracking open that idea and shining a light on those I see as sometimes hidden, 'invisible angels'.

  • Some of the best creative ideas "fly in" ... there's a sense of sponteneity and the ideas flow.

It's a gift I've never really been able to master and I admire those who can.

5* for a beautiful, touching poem.

  • LittleMickyFingers2: Hello again :) Thank you very much for stopping by. Creativity is a magical thing and we all seem to have our own paths with it somehow. TY for such a supportive comment! Sunbeam :)

  • beautiful!

  • Thank you!! :)

  • My Father told me, long ago, that most of peoples' misery is self inflicted. That poor decisions, lack of planing, and laziness was the root problem. BUT~ there is another side..the children who are caught in the mess adults create. Beautiful poem, and sweet pictures in the video.

  • Ill post my personal poems on my channel when I get enough poems in my brain. It took me fifteen minutes for the smile one, and Im all out of ideas for now! Heres a mini poem ill write as a quick, later alligator :D Its my silly poem ill make up as i go! ______ Later Alligator The alligator stomps, The alligator bites, The alligator can climb, up to great heights, He can say hello, and he can say goodbye, But this is what alligators say, and nobody knows why! Later Alligator! -S. :D
  • In a while crocodile....lol

Remember you can just post one - and then another and then another - you dont have to do loads - one or two are a perfect start!

With best wishes to you today!! :)

  • The first part made my eyes water, with the sad girl pictures! Sunbeam, your poems touch hearts!

    -S. :D

  • Aww..thank you. Now, young lady, I have some news coming soon about getting a first poem published...and I am working on getting things set up for my first poetry book. It will happen and YT people will probably be some of the first to know :) Thanks for all your support and encouragement!

  • Hello :) Thanks so much for stopping by and watching. Tears are always healing in one way or another. I am so glad it moved you in some way - you inspire me with your beautiful videos...I may post that 'Flowers in Her Hair' poem one day!! :)

I would love to hear the 'Flowers In Her Hair' poem, I hope you do post it :)

Thank you, have a beautiful sunshine day!

  • That is a sad poem.. I hope I never make my daughter feel that way. The way that she'd have to look after me and make me feel good. I always try my best, no matter what, to put on a happy face for her..

Great poem though. I really like it..

    Wendy

  • Hi Wendy :) Yes - it is sad in a way. Sometimes life can be tough, I guess and things happen people don't expect and they end up in situations where they can't always be as strong as they set out to be.

Thank you so much for watching and adding your perspective though - I really enjoyed reading it and you gave me more food for thought - maybe another poem will come out of that one of these days!! :)

    Sunbeam :)

  • This is really lovely thank you for posting

  • Hello again!!! Thank you so much!! Am very pleased you liked it. This was quite a hard one to share on here for some reason - but am so glad I did - many people seem to have got something from it - which is just GREAT!!...With best wishes, Sunbeam :)

  • really beautiful sunbeam!

  • Hi beautiful lady!!! :) Thanks so much for watching! Have a great day!! Love Sunbeam xxoo

  • nicely done.

  • Thank you kindly!! :)

  • When first we look into our children's eyes, we see there all the hope we ourselves see in life, yet unformed. It takes shape in like measure as the love and respect we also see in them. How important it is then that our eye be true to both ourselves and our children. You have painted such a tender portrait of the maternal bond, Sunbeam, where hope lives on, and is returned.

  • Beautiful comment, Michael - thank you. Being a parent is such a gift - more challenging than anything else, but more rewarding than anything else too, on so many levels.

Such is the path of the most beautiful life experiences of this world, methinks...Challenge/Reward...Sadness/Joy and so on...A big balancing act of extremes at times....Sigh. See where your comments take me?...lol...Off flying on tangents!! :)

  • Then by all means, give voice to that tangent. I hear another verse in the making!

  • insightful.

  • Hi!! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment :)

  • This is really wonderful - it is amazing how children have the capacity to take care of us when we feel week:) Loved it!

    Dave:)

  • Hi Dave :) Thanks for stopping by. Yes - I agree. Children and parents can be a real team often, especially when times get tough. Glad you liked it! Sunbeam :)

  • Nice poem and nice reading...very melancholy

  • Hi Teddy! Yes - it is a little melancholy in parts! Thanks very much for watching and commenting! Sunbeam :)

  • Wow, this is beautiful!!

  • Thank you :) When I just listened to your whispered poem / monologue - it reminded me a little of when I recorded this and had to 'get in character'...:) Isn't it wonderful how much we can all explore and create through poetry?...Thanks so much for stopping by! Sunbeam :)

  • Hi Michael :) Thank you for watching - so glad you liked it...With best wishes, Sunbeam :)

  • The strength a mother has is something we all take for granted until one day she needs strength. I remember how strong my mother was and I also remember the day she needed someone. It broke my heart but I also gained an appreciation for one of the greatest gifts in life and that is a strong, loving mother!

    Great poem!!

  • Hi Brad :) Thanks for watching and sharing what thoughts it brought up for you. It sounds like you have been blessed with your mum, as we all are, I think, in some way or another. Thanks for watching and commenting! Sunbeam xoxo

  • Hi,Another great Poem straight from your heart, as we all can tell! You truly have an incredible way with words Jill! Such brilliant and clear pictures of the child at different stages just added to such an emotional Poem! In societies all over the world as we all know "Single Parenthood" is abundant an so are the trials and tribulations that go with that vast responsibility! Thanks for sharing. Ethan.

  • Hello Ethan!! Lovely to see you :) Thank you for your feedback.

Adults can find themselves alone with the responsibility for a child/children for all sorts of reasons. That can be so isolating at times - I guess that is what I was trying to capture a little here. Also, people can become 'invisible' in our societies in all sorts of ways as well - this being but one, I guess.

Really appreciated you stopping by, sir :)

    With best wishes, Sunbeam :)

  • This one felt like it came from a very personal place. I know that can be a little uncomfortable to share but by the looks of the comments many people really connected with your feelings. Thanks for sharing Sunbeam!

  • Hi Rob :) This one just shot at me like a thunderbolt while I was working on something entirely different!! Sometimes these poems have a mind of their own!! Thanks for stopping by - lovely to see you, as always :) Sunbeam xoxo

  • As a former single mom, I can vouch for the truth of this poem. Being alone together in this way can be a terrifying and daunting ordeal, and you have captured these feelings very accurately.

As you have so perceptively portrayed, sometimes the child takes courage from the parent, and other times, the parent gains courage from the child. Somehow, you make it through, together. Beautiful words and lovely thoughts here.

  • Hello Nancy :) 'Terrifying' - that really is a great word here to describe how some of the moments in this situation can be...both for parent and child. But also so are the notions of 'gaining courage' from each other and 'making it through'. Somehow that happens!! Thank you for expressing identifying in some way with this poem - much appreciated. Sunbeam :)

  • A lovely poem - it states the delicate battle of strength and weakness as a parent. Often, we struggle to shield our "angels" of heart-ache and fear. This poem captures the emotion of that struggle nicely.

  • Hi Tina :)Thanks for stopping by and watching!! Yes - hard to get the balance right...if there even is a 'right' in these things!! :)

  • Such an emotional piece. The images... are so vivid. I've often wished to write something so emotional. I tend to be one step back from most of my poems.

  • Hi Steve! Interesting...sometimes I wish I could be more 'detached'. I seem to most times write about things so close to my heart in some way, my heart 'cracks open' a little more with each creation.

Detachment and emotional involvement - such a delicate balance for us in our poetry!! Sunbeam xoxo

  • This has so so much, to view this once would not be enough..this goes beyond the editng and spoken words.

my friends. our hats are off.

you have our admiration, love and respect.

thanks for sharing. all our brightest stars.

  • Very good poem, and it does seem that's what happens the children consoling the adults!

    5 stars *****Jane

  • Hi Jane! Thanks! Yes - it can be like that - things can seem a lot more straightforward from a child's point of view - that can help! Lovely to see you :)

  • Wow Sunbeam this is such a touching poem! Your poetry has a beauty that is so unique to your style! I just really love this one and the way that you use a child's perspective really makes it what it is! Fantastic job once again and another 5 stars from me my friend, Tamara xxxx

  • Hi Tamara : Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a wonderful comment! With best wishes to you today!! Sunbeam xoxo

  • You are more than welcome, this video is great! Tamara xx

  • Oh Sunbeam a charming poem. I have no children, but a borrowed grandchild. This said so almost this resembles one year ago to me when my husband separated from me. Your poem touches my heart very much.

Love and warm hus to you my dear friend

  • Hello Heidi! What a lovely start to my day to see you :) Thank you for your comment. I feel honoured that my words have touched you in some way :) (((HUGS))Sunbeam xoxo

  • Hi Sunbeam, a really good reading voice and the photographs of the children were so moving. When a child asked if we're going to lose the house, I'm reminded of many good people losing their homes here in the U.S. , a neighbor right across from us for example. I like your putting the words up. You write deeply moving poetry. Thanks so much. Frank, a newer subscriber.

  • Frank - How great to see you :) Yes - losing their home is a real fear for many children in a variety of situations. One that it is so hard for a young mind to cope with.

Thank you for your feedback on my poetry - it means a lot to me. Warm welcome into my sub 'family'. Love Sunbeam xoxo

  • That was really wonderful, Jill. Lovely images you put with your words too. You've got so many suubscribers now! I knew you wouldn't remain a secret for long! (((hugs)))

  • extremely well done BRAVO awesome

  • Hello :) Welcome to my Channel!! Really glad you liked it so!! With best wishes, Sunbeam xoxo

  • did you know that their really are invisible angels, that can appear to us occasionally?

  • Hello :) Yes - I do...I called the poem this as I felt mothers and children in these situations are often 'angels' to each other and in the world in a way no one else sees...'invisible' to the outside world - isolated. But I agree - there are the other kind of invisible angels too!! :) Sunbeam xoxo

  • well you inspried me to creat a song about invisible angels due out soon thank you for the inspitation

  • A child supported and loved, is a child who returns in support and love . . .

    BL*M

  • Hello :) I was just thinking about you and your Channel the other day - I will pop over soon. What a beautiful comment. Although sad in one way, I guess I had a sense of the love that must have gone into that child from the mother for her to be able to return it so - thanks for sensing that in some way :)

  • That's a sweet lovely poem!

    Moving and strong

  • Touching, loved it.

  • Hi Michael :) So great to see you on my comments :) Thanks for taking the time to watch - have a great evening! Sunbeam xoxo

  • What you've beautifuly illustrated and sequenced here, is probably a thing that happens in many children's mind every day.. Young and vulnerable, they often keep it inside however, and then it takes many years for those lacks, to get on surface.

The title let us hope that obviously; we'll make it through(parents and childrens)

    Thanks for sharing, :)

    Phil

  • Hi Phil :) Lovely to see you, my friend...I need to pop over and listen to you singing before I head to bed...:) I love visiting your Channel!!

  • Hello...Welcome to my Channel :)

Yes - I think you are right...such poems can be healing on the inside and the outside :) Thank you for sharing that thought. Sunbeam xoxo

  • Hi Sunbeam. This was very moving. I think everyone has felt this way as a child at one time or another, and a lot of us more intensely than others. It's a fine poem, and the images are very effective as well. Thanks, -Ron
