But the sound design intrigued me.
It isn't impossible that Zoetrope Interactive were inspired by the "Thief" series, by Looking Glass. They use the same style of shaping the ambient sounds into near melodic eerie patterns, sometimes short rhythmical tracks.
"Thief: The Dark Project" was noted for its groundbreaking sound design, upon release. And for being one of the scariest games.
