Have Native Americans been invited to the state park to excavate for artifacts or ancestral human remains?
There might be a burial ground in them thar hills 3 - 5 miles inland.

Yes, there is a sacred site that the toll road would destroy. The Native American Heritage Commission has sued the agency to stop the project.
