Look, Hollywood makes movies for entertainment and money. If you want the real history, go read a book or watch a documentary. this is fiction. It's not meant to be taken seriously and is meant to be pretend/make-believe, while propoganda claims to be real. Good book: Past Imperfect: History according to the Movies, Edited by Mark C. Carnes. Hollywood has long history of making movies that distort history for the sake of entertianment and honestly acknowledge it via "artistic license."

Yes the movie is taken wonderfully but that is not the truth in complete words the major flaws is that the spartans had iron covering over their body which was one of the main reason for their ressiatance at the battle. true, some things in 300 were GREATLY made up such as Xerxes with rings all over his body and in his underwear lol. and btw, its was 250,000 persians, not 1,000,000 persians, and there were 7000 thousand Greeks INCLUDING 300 spartans and the Greeks did not stay behind until the middle of one of the battles.
