The good thing is that after filming Into the Fire, he understood himself more, and became more open. In fact, he's even more talkative and jollier now. <3

On TOP's latest interviews, he said he was quiet around the members because of his alternating jobs of being a singer and an actor. He filmed IRIS and Into the Fire in Korea, yet he also joined the other Big Bang members in their activities in Japan. So he basically had a very tight schedule, and had no proper sleep, that's why he had to save his energy, so he could do both jobs. But he said, he was grateful that the members understood him.
