If I need help, I'll ask. But I know he cares, he's just bullheaded and used to getting his way. Unlike the rest of our family, I won't back down from him. Barbie!" all false faces and appearances, no depth. I don't like the woman and she can't stand me, so whatever. If my dad knew how to listen better, he'd understand. But he's more selfish than he likes to think he is, and I like seeing him happy so I haven't said anything to break them up.
I'm 19 now, but when I was a young teenager, I did some pretty stupid stuff. Through all of it though, my parents loved me and supported me and tried to give me the life that they never had.
I'm so grateful that my parents never gave up on me. Because of them, I graduated high school, I'm going to college, and I work very hard.
Though they don't always say it, I know that they are very proud of me and who I have become.

My Dad died the month after I turned 14, I'm now 19 and I miss him more than anyone knows. If you guys are lucky enough to know your Dad's, then cherish them, no matter how much you two fight because when he's gone... you'll regret every bad thing you've said or done. It's like someone wrote a song about my family. The exact same this happened with my sister. As soon as she turned 18 she left to go live with her bf out of state. She was gone for two years and she had a baby when she was 19 and she finally came home. Her bf was abusing her. She got so scared. She didnt have anywhere else to go. And she finally came home. She came home pregnant, but you know, I love her anyway. And my dad does too.

@LyricalLifestyle The only brother I have is my stepbrother. He's the reason my father was never around. My father always wanted a son but instead he got me, a daughter. It kind of sucks, but my mom did an awesome job at raising me. I'm having a mother daughter dance at my wedding instead to the song In My Daughter's Eyes by Martina McBride. =] Thankfully, my little girl doesn't have to live without her daddy. If I need help, I'll ask. But I know he cares, he's just bullheaded and used to getting his way. Unlike the rest of our family, I won't back down from him. But we went through a year without contact 'cause he wasn't hearing what I was saying (in one ear, out the other), and I was upset enough that my throat locked up on the phone, and if I'd seen him face to face it would've been a screaming match. When we did finally talk again I almost hit him. "I didn't think you were serious," he told me.

@FerNanDaXDFaiRy Kinda hurt. And our relationship still hasn't recovered. But he cares, it's just that he doesn't see the side of his wife that everyone else does. My bf's first impression was, "OMG! Barbie!" all false faces and appearances, no depth. I don't like the woman and she can't stand me, so whatever. If my dad knew how to listen better, he'd understand. But he's more selfish than he likes to think he is, and I like seeing him happy so I haven't said anything to break them up.

I'm 19 now, but when I was a young teenager, I did some pretty stupid stuff. Through all of it though, my parents loved me and supported me and tried to give me the life that they never had.
I'm so grateful that my parents never gave up on me. Because of them, I graduated high school, I'm going to college, and I work very hard.
Though they don't always say it, I know that they are very proud of me and who I have become.

My Dad died the month after I turned 14, I'm now 19 and I miss him more than anyone knows. If you guys are lucky enough to know your Dad's, then cherish them, no matter how much you two fight because when he's gone... you'll regret every bad thing you've said or done. I told mine that I hated him the last time I saw him.... 8 months later he died.... Cherish what you have. Trust me, it hurts losing your Dad. RIP DADDY. I love you and I miss you <3

When I was 14 I ran away from home, I didn't come home till I was 18 and I was scared that they wouldn't want me and would tell me to leave. This is the third time I've heard this song, and I've cried every single time. I always think that my dad hates me, but I know that he doesn't. This song really helps with that. It's sad, but it's strong and that's good. I've never ran away, but the lyrics "It doesn't matter what you've done, I'll still love you" hit me deeply. I've done some things and I'm always afraid he'll tell me that he hates me. This song is really touching, and I'm proud to say that even if he might hate me, I LOVE HIM!!

I was @ an old restaunt working 4 more money when I heard this song playing on d radio sitting on the counter... it made me cry and I asked a friend 2 give me a ride 2 d bus station.. bout 2 nites later I was so scared mom might not want me bac but I still went 2 her.. It's like someone wrote a song about my family. The exact same this happened with my sister. As soon as she turned 18 she left to go live with her bf out of state. She was gone for two years and she had a baby when she was 19 and she finally came home. Her bf was abusing her. She got so scared. She didnt have anywhere else to go. And she finally came home. She came home pregnant, but you know, I love her anyway. And my dad does too.

I have no idea why I torture myself with songs of fathers and daughters. I never had a father in my life. He was always gone and never seemed to care about me. Everytime I hear one on the radio or play one on here, I cry because of what I wish I could have had. This is one girl that can never plan a father daughter dance for her wedding.

It kind of sucks, but my mom did an awesome job at raising me. This song reminds me when I tried to run away I went all the way to another state and I had to go to the police there in Virginia and they flew me all the way home and my mom was so worried and I didn't even have a good reason to run away, my lifes been pretty damn good, I may not have the most money or stuff but my mom loves me and I have four great sisters, I'm an aunt and I have the greatest friends.
