I love and miss "24" as much as the next person, but feel I can speak for a lot of fans when I say that it got too predictable in its later seasons. I've always felt that a show like "24" wasn't meant to be as such.
I teared up a bit at the end of season 8, this video perfectly shows the essence of people like Jack Bauer, who are asked to do things that no man would EVER want or could do. Bauer is basically asked to set aside the very emotions that we as humans have and do things like shooting coworkers in the back of the head. It's people like that who deserve EVERYTHING, they are tasked with the impossible, to protect our society as we know it, and get little recognition in return.
I am on my third time watching each of the seasons almost done with season 1, its great cus it actually has great replay value. By the time you finish season 8, you cant really remeber every single detail from season 1 so you go back and watch it and its almost as good as it was the first time through
What made Jack such a great character was that he could be and is as vicious as the enemy. Here you have the ultimate good guy who flat out says to the enemy "When your daughter is infected, I am going to make you watch her die."
Seriously, most good guys have morals and won't stoop to the levels of the enemy. But Jack is the soldier you need on your team. One who will do what is necessary for the greater good.

For some reason, I love season 5. All the twists and finding logan is the bad guy at the end was great. The finale was epic, jack beating to a pulp on a chinese ship as it slowly sail away. This show is great, really gonna miss it when it ends this season.

well it depends on the way how it is cut if the tendons and veins are not entirly damaged and if they rushed him to the hospital right away it could be possible plus they had to make sure it wasnt totally infected if it was they couldnt have done it

I know what you mean, and whatever Season 3 had, the next seasons up to #6 didn't have either. It was just...different, and I loved it. Plus it was the first time we'd ever seen actual jets being used in 24 to blow up that helicopter, that scene was fucking awesome. Then they started overusing jets and CGI and everything in Seasons 4 ~ 6 and it kinda ruined the coolness of it.

I know what you mean, and whatever Season 3 had, the next seasons up to #6 didn't have either. It was just...different, and I loved it. Plus it was the first time we'd ever seen actual jets being used in 24 to blow up that helicopter, that scene was fucking awesome. Then they started overusing jets and CGI and everything in Seasons 4 ~ 6 and it kinda ruined the coolness of it.

From the beginning when Salazar killed his lawyer with a felt pen, to the end when two armed cops get gutted in a crowded subway without anyone noticing, the show actually made the viewer dumber with each ticking second of the clock

I've watched every episode of 24, and for me Ryans death is still the most shocking moment of all. So emotional and still makes me shudder every time. You just can't believe Jack had to do that. Now whenever something shocking happens, i call it a " Chappelle moment"!

even though this is a season 3 recap notice there is a shot (a really quick but noticable one) of Jack in season four. It is when he is screaming as the EMP is about to go off.
