Typically i give notice when im ready to quit a job but in 2008, i just abruptly walked my butt out of a major company. I was tired of doing customer service (for over 7 yrs) for ignorant and abnoxious people and although my departure was not as funny and cool, i felt great leaving w/out notice. Months later i found the job that i Love and still am working at so it worked out fine for me.........no jail time, lol!
13th Amendment of the US Constitution clearly says a person can walk away from their job and it is not a crime. " Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction"
he had 28 years in his job, not sure if it was all with JB or other airlines.
Yeah I'm all for cutting him a break, I work retail and can sympathize.
For me the entire incident underlines the lack of civility we all experience on a daily basis, and how some of us eventually blow up.
Not sure it took cojones or 'nads', because when the fuse hits the powder explosions occur and that has nothing to do with courage. More like a rage, albeit a comical one in this case. (thank goodness)
I have a question for you all... Do you think he would be getting so much support if he was a black man would he be branded the hero?
