in Gujarati you you would say it like this: MANE A GAYAN BAU GAMME CHE, or SARU GAYAN CHE. I'm Gujju and I have never heard anyone say it the way you did.

Nice work. Someone who spent childhood in India and came to US in early twenties can really understand and connect himself/herself. There is a powerful message in the last line -- I don't want you to go through what I went through. If Mira Nair look at this video, she would definitely make a movie on this theme. Goodluck.
