  • this is incredible. this video is helpful

  • I am writing a book on the incredible story that was my transplant. It not only saved my life but the donors life as well. Check it out at my facebook page Anohter 2nd Chance Like it and share it with your friends. Also at another2ndchance org

  • @Lighthouse724 All I'm saying is compensate me and I will give what is needed. If I'm judged by anyone then so be it but at least I am honest. I mean no disrespect or ill will to anyone but giving as a gift of love will only refer to family members for a lot of donors. Any other donor I stand up and applaud but it won't be me. Find a way to compensate people and that list won't be a list anymore is all I'm saying.

  • @Lighthouse724 I didn't use the correct words to illustrate my point. What I was referring to was the fact that hospitals, doctors and care staff all get compensated for the procedure.....if I'm wrong on that note then someone else is getting paid. I know it's against the law to get paid for organ donations here hence my quotation marks but asking me to donate an organ (family members not withstanding) just for the good of it is asking too much of me.

  • @Lighthouse724 only strange feeling for me is why so important case (seems not manufactured), the whole kidney disease community neglect it - his many formal nephropathy doctors, instituts, even the webside (support network). maybe lack of promotion? I am thinking is there a kidney disease online community where there are enough relevant people and resources, so that we can discuss this therapy, if it is fake, it will quickly be discovered, if it is real, then the method will be finalized.

  • @Lighthouse724 we will consult with professionals, but your (ordinary people's) opinions are very important too. thanks you a lot. btw, have you read this "Jon Jon Staniforth's IgAN Experience: a success story " wwwDOTigansupportDOTorg/articles/staniforthsuccessstoryDOThtml. I think if the method works, a lot of patients, if not all, will benefit from it. even there is no existing theory can explains it well. but this story seems can be verified in certain level. I am contacting them.

  • @Lighthouse724 she is not end stage yet, but protein counts is very high (>6400mg), also (maybe due to anxiety or IgaN kidney ) high blood pressure. so I am considering when is the best time if transplant? my blood type is O, no known disease. average or lean body build, should be ok. what is the risk for transplant, where to implement it will be better?

  • @Lighthouse724 thank you again. you have a lot of knowledge. I wonder if over 54+ parents donate kidney to their 23+ children, is there any problem that the parents kidney too old for transplant? how to determine if it match or not? what need to be done before transplant?

  • @Lighthouse724 thank you for reply. living donored kidney can work sooner can be easily understood. I was asking will it work longer? (over 20yrs or even more?)

  • @Lighthouse724 are you saying the living donored kidney is more likely to last long (over 20 yrs)?

  • @Lighthouse724 i will to donate my kidney masch A+RHESUS D POSITIF for something

  • why are kidney's the most talked about transplanted organ?

  • @Anaprince I have the same question

  • @BNNYWVH1

Your an idiot and where do you get your infomation from? My father donated me a kidney in 1991. He is 54 yrs alive and well and has never had to go on medication for it nor has he needed any follow up appts!

  • They are going to need the money for the meds that they will need to stay alive and they will not live long with one kidney. This is what they don't tell the doner they have about five to ten years to live. Seek KING JESUS CHRIST if you want to go to HEAVEN not to the lake of FIRE when you die.

  • @BNNYWVH1 WTF? Another brainwashed arse kisser. Plenty people are born with one kidney and live normal full lives.

  • Wow you couldn't be more wrong! Donors who give one kidney and have one remaining kidney live just as long as if they would have 2. Kidney recipients (as I am) have 15 - 20 years on a living donated kidney before they need an additional transplant. While transplant meds are hard on the body, I'll live a long and virtually normal life. Get some real info and stop scaring people.

  • @BNNYWVH1: What have you got, an extra chromosome, you moronic twit? EVERYTHING you said is a GOD DAMNED lie. I am living proof of that, and you just go to Hell. I can't believe there are so many IDIOTS in this world. You know NOTHING.

  • I'm thinking about selling mine...

    anyone need to buy?

  • Maybe instead of selling your kidney you should donate it to one of the hundreds of thousands of people dying from Kidney Disease. I mean really, you have 2 perfectly good kidneys and there are so many people out there that are struggling every day wondering if they will make it another day, and you want them to pay for it. I hope one day you go through something as hard as this and realize that buying your way through it is NOT the way to deal with it. Shame on you.

  • Don't understand me wrong please! i wish I could help people who need that, but I'm fortunately, i'm going to do that because I'm poor (I'm living in a 3rd world country) and when I get money it will support me for at least 7 years, I don't even if I can live normally if I donate it!

  • @ya13er : You realize that's illegal, right?

  • I like kidney beans.

  • I truly have to thank the family of a 14 year old child, who decided to donate a kidney, after the dealth of their child.

I am in my 30's and I've received this kidney almost 6 months now. I am truly so thankful to that family. Words could not describe how much that made a difference in my life.

I had what is called P.K.D poly-cystic-kidney disease, a genetic disease.

Being on dialysis when you have a young child can be a lot to handle. I use to worry, always preparing 4 the worse.

  • I will be donating a kidney to my brother in October and i am scared bout the surgery that is all....

  • You're very brave. :)

  • Thanks! I just hope everythings go well...

  • this is the most precious gift you can give - I have had a kidney transplant from my step father and he is fine

  • @mvalencialove How'd it go?

  • I had da surgery on Oct. 7th & as of now everything was great. I was only in the hospital for 1 night... I have had no trouble with the recovery went back to work within 3 weeks... I am just happy I was able to help my older brother out. If you have any questions I will love to answer them...

  • Onkohan näitä jo Suomessa?

  • My best friend donated me his kidney and for that I am and always will be forever grateful. People looking for compensation for their organs? Absolutely tasteless, worst kind of people around. People that actively do this should be locked up. It's a personal choice and you can either donate or not but don't go looking for compensation. Most dialysis patients aren't financially stable anyway.

  • I am a healthy non-smoking non-drinking 37 year old male. I honestly wouldn't mind donating one of my kidneys. I gotta be compensated though. I got bills to pay and making sure I am "taken care of medically" after the transplant gives me peace of mind.

When doctors and hospitals waive the bills associated with kidney transplants I will stop talking about how I can get paid donating mine.

  • Actually, the recipient's insurance takes care of the bills associated with kidney transplants - the donor does not. And without insurance, the transplant is unlikely to happen anyway. You'd be covered. So now you can donate one, right? Because many of us need you.

  • Yes... and if you REALLY want to donate... you shouldn't ask for payment. The donation should be a gift of love. I have had ESRD for 11yrs, I am 36yrs 4 old. I have received one transplant and it was the best 4 years since before I got sick. People need to understand what a real gift is.

  • If that technology was around when I had my second Transplant, I might not of needed a 3rd.

  • hey iv got a question, after you get a kidney transplanted, is the diet better? or do you still have to eat with almost no salt in your foods, how did it affect your diet? (considering you have chronic kidney disease like me)

  • 80,000 people in the US are in need of a kidney.

My mom is one of them.

She's still on the waiting list.

    Since 4 years ago.

I can't wait until she gets one so she doesn't have to go through dialysis every other day.

  • why dont u donate if u care?

  • Why doesn't crankdatIRISH donate? Maybe she's not a tissue match. Maybe she's not a blood match. Maybe she has high blood pressure. Maybe she has diabetes. Maybe her kidney ins't strong or efficient enough to transplant. Maybe she has underlying medical issues. There are a million reasons. It has nothing to do with caring, and your question comes off as both rude and ignorant.

  • I want to donate my kidney... anyone interested ???

  • I'm a musician in NYC from Ireland, I am on dialysis and need a kidney !

  • i am

  • God works in mysterious ways!

    ;D

    Helives!

  • i agree.

  • Sigh, c'mon now. I was making fun of the morons that post that crap left and right. Chill out.

  • sounds interesting..
